So a friend and I (we're both female) were at a LS party a few weeks ago (with our spouses) and we may have both been Roofied. We are not sure. Could be food poisoning. But some symptoms are suspicious. Our spouses suspect tainted drinks. I'm inclined towards a more innocent explanation. So I'm wondering if anyone else out there has had this happen and what your symptoms were. I don't know if we will ever get to the bottom of what happened to us that night. But maybe this thread will shed some light on things. Thanks!

Sounds like GHB, It were Rephenall You'd remember nothing about the night before.
Never happened to us but we know a handful of ladies who've complained that it's happened to them. If your symptoms were mostly nausea/vomiting (I'm surmising since you mention food poisoning) then it could also be simple alcohol poisoning (too much to drink). We've been to many parties where the hosts or bartenders will mix the drinks extra strong to sort of 'get the party started'. Also, it's very easy to overindulge when you're having fun and socializing. Even read about a case a while back where someone had slipped powdered alcohol into someone's drink to make it stronger and then sexually assaulted the drunk girl at a frat party. Bottom line, unless you're in an environment where you know and trust EVERYONE at a party never accept a drink from an unknown person and never set your drink down or leave it unattended in any way. I don't remember the last party I went to where people weren't accepting "tastes" of other peoples drinks or asking people if they had seen where they set their drink down. We have had something happen to us at a party she had about one and a half drinks and have done that a chit load of times but this night she felt like she had ten drinks and the next morning felt like she had drank a fifth of rum. From now on she will use a glass with a lid on it and only her and myself will make her drinks. We bring jello shots to almost all of the parties we go to and love to share but if any one says no thank you we do understand and just move on, the girls need to feel safe with the circumstance so we are ok with a no just do enjoy the fun with the jello shots.

I use the same rules in any club. Hang on to your drink if you set it down don't pick it back up. If someone buys you a drink only except it if you got it straight from the bartender. Never let someone bring you a drink.
Probably you got extra alcohol put in your drink. That is usually the reason. You can have bad booze and it make you go insane in no time. Bad Beer is not good....could come from the beer not being kept at the right temp. Not all bartenders know how to mix beer. Those are most of the sign of putting something in your drink. I have rarely seen any or my friends get roofied. Mostly just bad drinks will do it every time! Fermented to much could make you demented. Just saying!!!
About a month ago we were at Willie's lounge with co-workers who are not in the lifestyle (that we know of) and 3 different guys who we had never seen before to our knowledge came up to the female half here trying to get her to drink some of their drinks and wanted to buy her drinks. It was very weird and suspicious. She did not have any of their drinks. Obviously we have to question what might have been in those drinks.

Regarding the thought of being Roofied - This is a real danger in EVERY party. Not just Lifestyle Parties. With that said, I would hazard to guess that is is MUCH less likely to be at a LS party because unlike regular parties our parties already get the major part of hooking up out of the way. So as for Rickyandjess's comment. This is a swinger site. CSI stuff and drama doesn't really belong here. But if there is a real creeper in our midst... we need to make sure to pay attention and take appropriate precautions. A good one? If you're at a party and you don't know everyone? Bring your own booze if you're worried (Bottled is best of course).

After dinner, the four of us went back to our hotel to change for the Casino Royale LS party. She and I had different drinks, but we both used the glasses in the hotel room. Our husbands used the plastic cups. She had 1 shot. I had 1 very small glass of champagne as the glass was barely bigger than a shot glass. Possibly contaminated glasses?
By 10 we were at the party. I played poker, and had 1 1/2 drinks while I played for 1 1/2 hours. One was brought by my husband, the last drink was brought to me by another good friend who I've known about 2 years. My girlfriend had 1 drink made right in front of her by the bartender and that's it.
Within 1/2 hour of arriving, my girlfriend was in the bathroom puking her guts out for about an hour. She almost had to be carried out. Went home and fell asleep on the floor w/o being able to move at all. She had had only 2 drinks the whole night, WITH dinner. She says she wasn't drunk at all when the sickness hit.
About 45 minutes after that, I suddenly felt very ill and had to rush to the bathroom, where I evidently puked for quite a while. I recall bits and pieces of that part, but most of my memory from that portion of the night is gone. That part is suspicious to me. I recall about 10 seconds of my husband helping me out to the car, I recall 2 seconds of puking again at the hotel, and that's it. I don't remember him getting me ready for bed or anything else until morning. I awoke at 5am thinking I was having a heart attack and went to the ER.
So....yes, lots and lots of puking. NO diarrhea. Some memory loss. We both doubt alcohol poisoning as neither of us were drunk when the puking hit. We both felt woozy and weak for about 2 1/2 days. It was Tuesday before I really ate again (her too.). I can't figure out WHY someone would roofie me or her as we were with our spouses. But the fact that we got so violently ill so fast, and the fact that both of us lost our memory for a couple of hours before falling asleep does make us suspicious.
The symptoms are just unclear enough that it could be food poisoning, or it could be a drug. The three drugs I looked up as date rape type drugs have differing symptoms. But I can't imagine anyone giving a woman something that made her violently ill and hoping to benefit from it. That's why I thought I'd see if anyone else in the lifesyle had heard of this or had it happen.

Xanadume we are sorry to hear about your circumstance that is not something you should ever have to deal with, this lifestyle should and is about trust and if that did happen to you what a shame that is. We dont know for sure if that is what happened to us but kind of suspicious on how it made her feel,she has been very drunk before and sick the next day so bad she didnt get out of bed so we know how to much should feel and it was not that, a lot more then that, makes you a bit nervous to go out to the big parties and just let loose.
Maybe with your smaller size the amount you received was just to much for you? that is if thats what happened to you. Never the less we are glad you came out of it ok.Sucks to have a fun night wasted for any reason.

Hmmmm Well we've actually had that very affect on quite a few swinger couples but since we weren't at the party...:-P Very unlikely food poisoning would occur that quickly (bad bugs usually need a good 10-12 hours minimum to grow in the gut to start the process of making you puke your guts out) . Also unlikely that the glasses in the hotel were contaminated unless there was any kind of liquid in them already. So that leaves the party. How well do you know your friend of two years? Did that friend witness the pouring/making of your drink? Pretty doubtful someone could walk around adding anything to people's drinks without being noticed. Did anyone else at the party get sick? If not, why would you and your friend be singled out? I've seen a LOT of drug overdoses in my life (some self inflicted and others inflicted by other people) and more often than not it's pretty easy to tell if you were drugged. Did the ER take blood and are the results back yet? Yes GHB, or rohypnol would show up easily on a tox screen. As would most other agents. If they didn't do a tox screen in the ER they most likely didn't suspect you were drugged.
I will go a step further. If this happens and I find out who it is, the individuals will have to deal with a lot more then blocking them. That is a promise.

I'd totally call up and have a whole bunch of pizzas delivered to their house, give their name and address to the Mormon missionaries, leave their phone number on the answering machines of all the carpet cleaning companies I could find, AND put some dog poop in a paper bag...put it on their doorstep and set it on fire, then ring the doorbell and run. I'll say it but hardly be the first to suggest that there are elements of control at play in some swinger relationships. A subset of men enjoy sex much more w/ a woman they control completely rather than a woman who's having sex w/ them consensually. Kicking their ass wouldn't change that.
I have to say ladies if you think you've been roofied, you must go to the hospital immediately before the drugs leave your system and the evidence is gone. Rapists belong in fucking jail, and they can't get there if there's no evidence.

The ER did take blood, but because I came in with chest pain and shortness of breath, they were focused on checking my heart. I got an EKG and chest xray. And I'n not sure specifically what they tested the blood for, but I know it was also heart related. I had explained the circumstances of the evening to the DR. But at the time I didn't even suspect I had been drugged. I just assumed it was food poisoning. I wish I had suspected it earlier...I would have told them to do a tox screen for those drugs. But anyway, I don't think they ran my blood for anything except heart related stuff. Too bad.
The reason I thought it might be the hotel glasses is because I saw a 20/20 a few weeks before (and forgot about it until days after the puking episode) where they put hidden cameras in several high end and mid-end hotel chains and watched hotel after hotel maid rinse the glasses in the faucet and wipe them with a towel and set them back out for the next guest. In one hotel, the maid cleaned the toilets with rubber gloves and then went straight to rinsing the glasses out in the sink--same gloves! And several of the maids sprayed the cups with bathroom cleaners. So when I remembered that show, I thought it could have been the glasses--either tainted with a bacteria from a previous guest, or possibly we ingested a harsh chemical cleaner. ??
I guess we'll never know. But just in case it was drugs at the party, I will be super cautious from now on about not letting anyone bring me a drink. If I didn't watch it poured myself, I'm not going to drink it. Sad. But better safe than sorry, right?

From experience I can tell you that soap residue on cups or glasses can cause food poisoning-like symptoms, especially the commercial grade detergents restaurants use.
Yup, we skip glasses/cups altogether and just drink straight out of the bag/bottle. Much safer that way. Saves time too.

Put someone in danger of having a bad reaction and dying, get behind the wheel and in a wreck kill self and others/ Also the amount of money that was wasted, baby sitter, gas, hotel, dinner, event cost, dress ect $300.
On up beat note!!! WOW, I can't tell you how many great ladies tried helping my wife in the bathroom. Being very supportive and caring. I like to say thank you so very much for being AWESOME people!!! We both were very impressed. It was such a great party, it broke both our hearts the next day that we met some great people and had to leave before getting to know them!!!
