We are excited to watch it. The Mrs is a huge hockey fan, but she loves the Avalanche. Playoff hockey is always entertaining, regardless of who's playing.
I agree, it's a completely different game. Sure my Pens are out of it but there is always next year. I remember the days in 91 and 92 of seeing the Stanley cup in Burgh strip clubs and drinking from it on the south side around last call.
Yeah, we're totally into Hockey! We're both from Chicago, so I doubt we can hangout with CHEFFETTE...hahaha but we usually go out for the Hawks games! Lumpy's (sugarhouse- not downtown) usually has the hawks games on multiple TV's.
We'd be stoked to hang out with some other NHL fans. I just watched the last Blues game with a friend from STL....sad for him, not too bad for us...

You're far from the only Hawks fans on here, for sure! I love the city of Chicago, it's great fun. We could hang, I promise.

Not much of an NHL fan, unless there isn't any other hockey to watch (local). Anyone going to the Grizzlies games this next Wednesday, Friday and Saturday? I am going to be attending all the games, but will be working, so not going to be able to chat. Go Grizzlies!!!

As a matter of fact, check out my temporary profile pic. There's a documentary out (won't come to SLC, sadly) about how the Red Army teammates wound up here. Living in Detroit as it was going down we'd get dribs and drabs of the story in the Detroit Free Press but who knows how much was truth.
Hockeytown love is one of the many things that makes me miss my hometown something awful.

Piper Down's a pub, more barlike than restaurant. It's in SLC, 1492 S State St.
I'm in place, on a banquet against the wall, wearing what I think is an obvious tee shirt. Game on!

W/ Calgary over Anaheim in OT tonight there'll be at least one game after Friday.
So glad to see there are some good hockey fans in the lifestyle! Does anyone actually play hockey as well, or just fans?
We play some roller hockey during the summer. I keep meaning to go to a lot of the stick and puck that they have but haven't made it in yet.

Do you play in any leagues (XRHL by chance?) or just like out in the street with friends?
No I am not a part of any league. Thought about it but the drive to salt lake for the games kills it for me.
Actually I think TONSIL hockey is the best hockey but if you'd rather watch a bunch of padded dudes skatin' around with sticks and gettin' into fights who am I to argue.
