Seriously, I'm not trying to be an asshole. I like all types of people and all body types. My problem with how the site is setup is people get to choose how to respond to the question of "body type". This needs to be less subjective, because obviously some people seem to have a really skewed sense of what body type is. I'm sure this has been talked about before, but my search engine won't bring up any queries.
So, here is what I suggest. Program the profile inputs so you can enter a height and weight. With simple programming and a little math, viola, you have taken the subjectivity out of the entire process. If you don't want to enter one of those two factors, don't, but you won't show up in searches for people looking for something specific.
For instance. Let's say I am looking for a really big woman (huge), which I honestly have a thing for, and she puts into her profile that she is average. How will I ever be able to find her using the search engine? It negates that attribute from being accurate at all. People on the site generally have an idea of what body type they are looking for. So by misrepresenting your body type, you may be effectively reducing your changes of being found by those people who are interested in your specific body type. So stop bullshitting people. You are really only hurting yourselves. Be who you are and let those who are interested in "your type" , find you. We all have someone out there who wants us.
The girl in this picture is NOT average.

Since the average American is overweight, an overweight man putting that he's average body style isn't inaccurate. That's what I've found in my 15 years of dating online on and off.

And yes, the person who made this meme said THINKS instead of THINK in the second frame. I vote for a new version of iOS and Windows that shocks you through your keyboard if you misspell a word and/or use incorrect grammar and hit SEND or ENTER. Hey, people have to learn somehow.
I was out on the motorcycle and briefly thought about this. My original idea of assigning a body type simply based on height and weight would NOT work. Take for example, 2 men, both 6'1", both 180. One could be highly out of shape, the other very fit and trim. Cheffette, I understand what you are saying, but the degrees to which people are misjudging their body proportion is way out of the norm. A 5'0" girl who weighs 65 pounds is not normal, nor is the 5'0" 250 pound girl a "little extra padding." I think people can do better.

I concur w/ Kennedy; just show me what you look like and that's where my attraction will start. Nit only are there not a lot of hard bodies on this site, there aren't a lot in life either; I certainly don't have one. A nice body's nice to look at, but a shot of what's on someone's bookshelf is just as nice and somewhat more important to how much I'm going to feel like fucking them.
The value in the options given is seeing how honest someone will be; and if they'll tell a little lie chances are they won't stop there. That's not sexy.

How about an excerpt from the forum post I wrote (now a blog on the mobile app) on how to create a great profile.....

2. Your PUBLIC photos NEED to show what you look like.
This doesn't mean you need to show your faces on your public photos. But you DO need to give others a sense for what your body type is. If people see a poorly lit shot of just an ass, the first assumption is that you are hideous and your giant, dim ass is literally your best feature. While there are a few couples on here for whom that is probably true, the odds are you can do much better. If you're short and chubby, that's fine.. Other people should know that!! You may quickly discover that other short and chubby people are excited to find someone with a similar body type they can hook up with! (Rule #1 of swinging: People generally prefer to hook up with other people who are of similar age, and similar body type..... )
Your public profile photos are the very first thing other people are going to see. (Trust me, they don't read your profile until AFTER they've looked at your photos). Put on some nice clothes and take the best neck-down shots you can manage! Avoid photos from the Halloween party. People are trying to figure out what you look like -- not what you look like when you're wearing a disguise.
If you post photos that are a mis-representation of what you look like in ANY way, people are going to hate you the instant they meet you -- before you've even had a chance to speak. If your strategy is to lie about your looks (by posting old or misleading photos), hoping that you'll make up for it in the personality department, you're still a liar... and you can go fuck yourself for wasting everyone's time.
To that end:
- Don't post any photos of you that are more than a year old.
- Don't post any photos of you that are off by more than 20-lbs. (If you got fat since you took that photo, DELETE IT).
- Don't post any photos that zoom in on just one part of your body. (you can still show your body, in general, without showing your face).
- There's nothing wrong with a fully-clothed photo if you think it helps make you look better.
Please do not fuck anyone who doesn't follow these rules. Even (especially) if you are married to that person.

This is a good discussion. I am right at 200lbs right now. I'm 5'7" and someone with no significant muscle mass would be QUITE fat. From behind you can't even tell I'm overweight, but you can tell I have a very muscular frame. BMI says I'm "morbidly obese", but from muscle mass measurements I'm about 15% overweight. At my optimum weight I'm about 170lbs, but the BMI calls that overweight. I would lose muscle mass going lower than 165.
There is no good way to fix this problem. Body types vary too much for one system to work for everyone.

Luckily, medicine is starting to agree that BMI is a crap formula. It simply can't be applied accurately to more than a fraction of a population and really ought to be done away with.
There is an easy fix for this, at the bottom of your profile there is a box, its called( About Me) In that box is your chance to explain to the world just why you think your the best sex slave ever. Yes you should exploit your best assets, but no they should not be false.
The photos you have should be something one of us could see and tell it is you when we meet, not your younger brother or sister.
With those two things people should be able to decide if you are someone that they want to meet, and it is real and it is you.
Now let the dates begin.

If it's any help I checked "corporeal" under body type on MY profile.

This is a good thread and I'm waiting for Evil to add more humor. How people look in their pics and their descriptions of themselves offer a view only. Like most views it can be distorted and you have to expect some variation. Every once and a while what you see in person is even better than what you have seen and read online and if the chemistry is right then the possibilities are endless.
We try to have an open mind about others. Sometimes we are disappointed and other times we are very pleased. You can always choose to walk away and say no thanks and we do that also. This part of swinging is always going to have an element of doubt.

Thanks for all the thoughtful replies, especially you, IamI156, whoever the fuck you are. haha. (See you Friday.
). The BMI index is crap, we all know that. It also lists me as obese. Asshole government officials trying to make us all feel bad about our health. I'm sure it is Obama's fault, just like everything else.
It really comes down to this, for me. We are all looking for something on the site and we probably have some idea of what we are attracted to. Sure, there are those who have no preference and would stick their dick, or take one, for anything that offered, but I think most people have a shadowy concept of what they are looking for. If you lie, put up pics from 20 years ago, or try to hide what you look like in some other fashion (only a cleavage shot, etc), eventually you are going to meet face to face and perhaps even get naked. You can't lie forever. And I know not everyone who puts a questionable body type up is lying. It is hard deciding what to put. Am I average, skinny, or athletic? Maybe it is best for someone else to judge. However, there are some out there (you know who you are) that purposefully are trying to be sneaky. So JUST BE HONEST!!! Show current pics. Put your body type in as accurate of a listing as you can. Show more than just a 2" square of your nipple. Cock shots aren't helpful. To summarize BMShell, follow some simple rules and everyone will benefit. Very good conversation. Hope to see you all naked really soon.

ok, so we are all agreed. it is a popularity contest. sorry, no fat people. maybe try datehookup.com or adultfriendfinder.com.
Hmmmm I wouldn't go so far as to say "a popularity contest" but I would opine that swinging is about fantasy fulfillment so I don't know why anyone would want to fuck someone they don't find attractive (for whatever reason). If we're here just to fuck as many holes as possible (or to get fucked in as many holes as possible) maybe we should just forget profiles and pics and just meet up once a week in a really dark room with a big plastic sheet on the floor, a vat of lube and go at it.

Oh no you don't, I'm not falling for your 'Community Service Twister Game for the Blind' again.
*Sigh* Well if you won't just fuck ANYONE regardless of whether or not you'r attracted to them then I guess you aren't a REAL swinger.

The OP itself says they're into BBW and the majority of this thread has talked about embracing all body types in order to learn about the person.
It sounds like you've had some frustrating disappointments and it's coloring your perception of the things people are saying in this thread.
I decided to start a trend and put "not specified" under body type. Take that.
Here ya go DELICIOUS.

Yeah, I'm sorry but he's just not JLP with that chin weed. Now Spock on the otherhand...

'Nuff said.
