Just finished a batch of what was supposed to be an Ale. Ended up tasting closer to a hoppy mead. I'm still happy with it, and know I need to change out my ratio's to get a good ale next time.

The reason it turned out the way it did is I am experimenting on a gluten free recipe for my family who is severally gluten intolerant. To much molasses and not enough buckwheat is what ended up causing the problem so I'll change my ratio's for the next batch. And also make a real mead alongside because it is really tasty.

Anyone else here have some good recipe ideas to share with the group? Also anyone want to help me make a Homebrew Party? BYOHB as it were?
Interesting, I used to homebrew but stopped because I no longer drink beer due to a gluten intolerance. I still have all my equipment though. Brew parties are a pretty good time. Ever do any true ciders? I've thought about it but haven't gotten around to it.
Used to long ago, too much trouble.
We are interested in experimenting with it
I home brew. Just haven't for awhile now because of lack of time. A lot of trouble but worth it if you know what you're doing. I figured out that part in the early 90's.
I'm actually thinking of trying a batch of hard cider if anyone has a good recipe.
