guys patrolling the westernmost a50 miles os I-80 24/7/365
Althugh I don't smoke it because I usually carry a gu, and it gives you the munchies. I'm not sure which of those is the most important reason, though.

And as to 14, if that ever happens, the UHP will go on a hiring spree so that they can keep a couple dozen guys patrolling the westernmost 50 miles of I80 24/7/365 to nail all the returning Utahans who have it in their systems, and quadruple the state's income through the DUI "administrative" fees and fines. And the legislature will probably pass a law saying that a vehicle that looking like it just came from Nevada is probable cause for a a stop, and that a driver's admission that he was just in Nevada provides probable cause for a search, including a urinalysis and blood test.

Yeah I've been watching that bill with considerable interest for a couple of days. It will never pass but it's very interesting that a Republican legislator introduced it and even more interesting that he would admit that he went to Colorado and tried pot for his bad back. Legalizing marijuana goes against so many LDS tenets that I don't even think a G.A.'s wife getting cancer would help legalize it here. But I'd bet a million dollars that many movers and shakers in this state would procure it illegally to help a loved one and probably have already done so for a long time. So many of the pious here drink, when they're out of town and not in danger of being discovered...I think it just came out that Mark Shirtliff was a big partier when he was out of state and I'm certain he wasn't the only one.
Allergic to smoke and immune to pot... I don't care as long as it doesn't interfere with social contracts -like suitably sober medical professionals, forklift drivers and daycare providers.
