Planning a trip to Wendover on Friday night.. (going for the Barenaked Ladies concert... we're both huge fans).
Lots of people here seem to be big fans of Wendover... so I need some help...
Biggest issue I'm having? There's nothing to actually DO there... as best I can tell, it boils down to this:
1) Dinner... there are a few mediocre, overpriced restaurants.. (I can live with that)
2) Gambling.. obviously.
3) ...... ?
The hot-tubs / pools at ALL the hotels close at 10/10:30'ish... and last time we went, they were full of kids right up until closing time.. So that's out..... Have also heard (although never confirmed) that the (only) strip club there is terrible... (Plus, that's more of a night-time activity, anyway).
Are there good spas to get a couples massage?
What do you do between the hours of 9am and dinner ?
Is there anything to do that's adult oriented besides gamble?

We love playing poker tourneys during the day, if you golf the course is okay. Other than that not alot to do!

If you want to see what rock bottom looks like for any given celebrity/performer, go see their show in Wendover in the middle of winter. We went there many years ago on s cold snowy January weekend and they had like a 70's/80's rock and roll review with a handful of once very famous bands from that era at the Silversmith. There were like 6 people in the entire audience...on a Friday night. I felt really sorry for the performers trying to act like they weren't devastated at the turnout. *sad clown face*

What's a lap dance?
Go have some drinks, gamble a little, maybe hit a concert or the strip club and then hopefully find one or more couples to get naked with.
Lap dance is where a girl in pasties and g-string rubs her body all over you to turn you on. Something we like to do when we go out there. We like watching each other get dances and have fun with it. Wendover is just a fun place. we like to have fun there. Always hoping to meet someone and have fun with them out there.
Mrs. Fun here, we usually do some gambling, drinking, eating. We did go to strip club once. It was ok, he bought me my first lap dance. That was kind of fun

I like to do some geocaching when I'm in that area, which isn't often. Gambling bores me and you can only go out and eat so many times. Beyond that, there really isn't much to do. Maybe go 4-wheeling or hiking? Go check out the airfield and see some history. Yeah, the place just doesn't offer much to do.

LMFAO! LOVE Lewis Black. And he's 110% correct about Wendover being a shithole. I "get" that it's one of very few options we have living in an arguably bigger shithole named Utah but it's still a shitty little shithole. If Vegas is the hot sexy stuck up chick that teases you and hints you're gonna get lucky right up until the point you've spent all your money on her then Wendover is the fugly chick who'll totally fuck you if you buy her a PBR and a 99 cent shrimp cocktail.
We go about once a month, always on Saturday. No reason to get there before 8pm as the casinos really don't start getting busy until later on. Hubby will play blackjack and I like to people watch and talk. We have never had a problem meeting people out there and our room seems to end up being the place to be for drinks and partying.
There are some blackjack tables at The Nugget that have girl dancers on the stage behind the tables and they are also right next to the dance floor with a live DJ on the weekends.

We only go out there to go see comedians 1-2 times a year. We have hooked up about 50% of the time with other members from the site which is always fun. Don't do a lot of gambling. If you get there early enough you can get a great Mexican lunch/dinner at Salt flats cafe. Looks scary but the food is great and cheap.
We enjoy going to a concert dinner at Romanza gambling and just relaxing.
