So we've just revisited Swingular after a couple of years mostly unplugged and out of the loop. We initially set up our profile in early 2011. Upon returning we are fascinated to see that a very large number of the pics we are seeing on profiles are the exact pics we remember from 2011. So, nobody has changed in almost 4 years? Yea, we still have some old ones on our profile that are still reasonably representative, but there also plenty that are taken within the last 30 days. After a couple of recent disappointing meetings we have to ask, at what point do old pics become 'false advertising'? (On the other hand, if someone has figured out a way to arrest the aging process please share!

)We sleep in a giant Tupperware container so yeah, we don't have to waste valuable time that we could be using watching Matlock reruns taking updated pics. It's kind of a bitch burping ourselves in each night though. 
We just use a program that will age us just a bit then post new pics with the slightly aged look on our profile every 6 months. So you see the same picture all the time we are just a bit older every time you see it, cool thing about this program is we have set it to age us 3 months in a 6 month time so we still are cheeting you a bit but not as bad as the people who have thier high school grad trip sexy pics up for twenty years. So we feel really good about our selves that we are only a little bit dishonest.
All of our pictures are less than a year old... I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing anything older than that. (False advertising!!!!) We actually go in and add new photos and remove old photos regularly.
Oh shit most of my pictures are only months or weeks old... Got to pull out the high school pic's so I can fit in.
Since I switched to an iPad... Cannot seem to change the main pic to something this week instead of last.
We know of people that have pics on here that don't even look ANYTHING like them they are so old. Total false advertising!!! We try to keep our pics current but it can be a real challenge because I am NOT photogenic at all. In fact I'm the exact opposite.

For every profile with pics that are a few years old or older there are a dozen more recent ones that are cropped, chopped, blurred and 'shopped to the point where you can barely tell what you're lookin' at. We try to get to know people a little bit online first, at least enough to know if we have anything in common or possibly share the same sick sense of humor. Of course we check out the pics, and the stats to get a general idea but we figure if we already kinda like the peeps even if we don't end up wantin' to fuck 'em at least we can hang out, share a few laughs, have a couple of drinks and maybe even end up with some new friends. YMMV

well we update....idk if they are the past yr but it hasn't been much longer. But if we chat u get very current.

I don't think you can really judge someone by their picture. Sexiness changes with personality.

Our biggest problem, photo-wise, are pics that (and yes some are quite new and updated frequently for you peeps with a stopwatch) are shot from such odd angles that there is no way a normal person (unless you're Salvador Dali) would have any idea what a person actually looked like. I mean we like pics of lips and toes and forearms and pinnae as much as the next guy, but it really doesn't give us much to go on as far as telling us if we might be attracted to you.
And just in case you aren't checking out the other threads...do you KNOW how much of a hassle it is to take a decent Polaroid, pull out my trusty flatbed scanner, scan it into my Commodore 64 and then post it to Swingular?

Love the photo party idea. We have been off for a while and need new pics badly. Swingular pics are just so much more of a hassle with the face blurring, can't just post from your phone, takes so many attempts to get someone that looks like me to look less than frightening when naked without photoshop.

Profile photos are strange sometimes. I read the profiles before I even look at the pics, I figure I can tell more about someone from what they wrote than pictures that might be 10 years old or photoshopped or something.
I've thought that I do better in person than I do with people looking at the profile 'cause they see my age on the profile, but in person they see me first and find out about the age later. But now I'm starting to wonder if my pics themselves are an actual problem. Except for an old one of my MC in Germany, mine are maybe 7 or 8 months old, except for one that's just a few weeks ago but is also poorly focused, but are people looking at the pics and my age, and thinking "this guy's being dishonest, using old photos?" Is this "old pictures" thing such a problem that maybe I'm getting suspected of doing it?

We think within 5 years is fine with us but obviously more recent the better. We add new ones here and there. Most of ours are recent. Not much change in our album pictures and if anything, she has gotten larger boobs (from a C to a D) in the last 3 years and that's a good thing :-).
Any picture from your wedding forward is considered current. Especially if your wife doesn't know you have a couples profile on here and she has granted you a continous hall pass.

I am a professional photographer, so here you go, let's have a picture party. We find some great venue with some cool backgrounds that people can pose or play or pose playing with their partner or partners. I will post them for each person on my drop box. So each person will have their own folder that only they can get to. Everyone gets sexy fresh pictures. All for free. We can make it a fun night. A very busy, working night for me, but fun none the less. I will do it for free. Take a look at my album entitled "my artwork" to see my artistic stuff. It doesn't mean these will have that look, they would be more like boudior. But at least you will see that I know what I'm doing. Let me know what you think!
If someone is going to organize this thing, we'd like to know about it. The only pics we have are things we sort of just happened to have around, and a couple of me from my portfiolio. I'd volunteer, getting "events" organized is something I'm fairly decent at, but I just don't have the resources or personal connections to provide a place to do it. ~ Terry
