We test every 6 months. Had our latest test yesterday. For us kinda crazy as it has been 2 years since we full swapped with anyone. But good habits die hard i guess.

I also test every 6 months. I get a full CB panel plus HIV & STD. I've done this for years. like you say good habits die hard. * Magic xo
Just got the latest one back about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Before that it was probably a year or so ago. Despite all evidence to the contrary we aren't great big slutty ho bags and really don't play that often. What's a CB panel, MAGIC? Cootie Buster?

I test every 6 months and yes I'm honest with my dr. I work in health care as well. So I see what STD/STI does to a person. Im honest with new friends. If you have not been tested in a year, and you play outside of your monogamy. I will ask you to get tested. One of the Dr's I worked with said "Would you rather wear clean socks or dirty socks on your feet" What would you want around your penis?

Was pretty funny. Not sure what he thought but never said a thing.
Of course last year mr. Simple asked for an RX for lidocaine for butt sex with the misses. All he said then was wish his wife would try it.

This is an excellent question.
Don't forget most STD test and the health department do not test for Herpes so u have to make sure u ask for.
We think it would be a REALLY good idea if along with all the standard STD tests docs would do a quick mental stability test for anyone who wants to go swinging. Think of how nice it would be to see a lot less crazy around here (including yours truly). 
That should include a drama probability assessment.

Do you guys require proof of testing from other couples before playing? I'm guessing a lot of people lie about it and say they're tested when they're not.
The only thing is that the test results are pretty much only good for the day they were done. Unless someone gets tested and then stays in a vault cut off from anyone else until the test results come back there is no way to determine if they are still STI free. Even accounting for incubation periods an STI test is really only good for that MOMENT when your blood was drawn. Bottom line if you're going to swing first be okay with the real and inherent risks and second protect yourself to the extent that you feel okay with those risks. We do our homework about what diseases are out there and then act appropriately. To us it only makes sense to assume that EVERYONE has an STD (most adults are seropositive for HSV type 1 or 2 which are now almost interchangeable as to where they can and will induce a primary infection) and to protect ourselves accordingly. People that are super paranoid about sex cooties prolly shouldn't be swingers. JMO

We actually dont like to get tested unless all the open sores have healed up so its been about 3.5 years ago. We're pretty sure we're good to go though just 'cause the oozing pus is no longer green colored. That, plus the fact that we only do about 8 other couples a week. Oh, and not many farm animals--that mad cow stuff is some scary chit.
