We've got 2 more nights in Vegas and are considering the Red Rooster and the Green Door on, obviously, a Monday and/or Tuesday night. Any input?

Red Rooster is an older crowd. people there are respectful. Havent been to the green door. I hear there are a lot of single males there.
Red Rooster we have had fun there, even if we are older but there are younger couples there too.
Red Rooster, Classy, Mature, Respectful but you can always get in good naughty trouble...
We've only been to the Red Rooster but a couple we met there went to Green Door the next night and said it was a much better crowd.

The Rooster has been there forever. The decor is a bit dated, but it's comfortable. There are a lot of regulars there. The food is OK. I think that Saturday is the only night that the couples-only area upstairs is open. They have a nice big hot tub & a nice conversation pool. You tend to get a lot of single guys there, but they are respectful & not bothersome. If you go there, please say hi to Tex (female bar tender at the back bar). She is a great source of intruductions for newbies.

Both will likely be kinda dead... Both can be a lil creepy. Better off trying to meet up with someone. We lived there for years. Plenty of fun people.

I live here in Vegas and have been to both. The Green Door can sometimes be fun, especially if you like to be watched. The single men are kept away from the couples areas, although they can look in and there is security inside to keep them in line. For the most part, they tend to be respectful, although there are always a few idiots anywhere. They have redone the place over the last two years, so it is clean (they have staff that wipe up when areas are empty). As far as getting a cab, AZWETNWILD must have had the dumbest cabbie in town. First, he could have given you his card to call him back. Second, the club will call a cab for you and while you are about 1 mile east of the Strip near the Stratosphere and SLS (old Sahara) Hotels. Third, there are often cabs coming in to the center, as there are restaurants and also a Latin event center that are all open late there. And the Commercial Center, where the Green Door is located, also has some great restaurants, including Lotus of Siam which has lots of high Zagat ratings. And there is a funky gay bar just down from the Green Door that is welcoming and low cost (no alcohol sales at the GD)

When I have been there with a lady, I have found them to be pushy and a problem, which is why I won't go back unless someone "has" to see the place. And it is in the middle of nowhere, so the comment about getting a cab is more applicable here.
