I've received an email recently (tonight) as well as in the past from a couple who wishes to communicate with me as a single male. However, when I attempt to reply, their settings stop my reply from going through (XXX is not accepting messages at this time, etc).
Is there a way or etiquette for working through this, or should I just expect to bide my time and wait for them to realize the limit, and hopefully adjust their settings?
I am trying to not be rude and seem like I am not interested, or not courteous enough to at least respond, so am curous if this issues has affected any others in the past. Thanks!

Try commentin on their profile
if they have single males blocked and they send you an email the system will allow you to still send an email back... but if they have their profile set up to not receive emails at all or not accepting friendships you will never get back to them...

You sure they aren't just fuckin' (no not that kind of fuckin') with ya? Cause you have to admit that would be pretty funny. Really mean but also funny. Kind of like keeping that doggy treat JUST out of reach of your dog.

LOL ... would be a very humorous, and very mean trick ... but in this case I think the email was sincere, just the understanding of how the site communication restrictions work can be ... confusing.
Fortunately, 'tis not my first dance around here, so I can handle the issue ... just don't like being rude and not responding to notes.

That sucks because they probably do not know what they did to totally block you. You could look at the list of people attending all the local events and if you see one they are planning to attend, go yourself, stand at the door way with one of those signs like people have in the airport with their profile name written on it in big letters and your profile name in smaller letters below it. Ask them how their trip was and hand them a couple of warm wet towels. Have a bottle of a good red wine ready and two glasses and some chocolate dipped strawberries. It will make them feel like super VIPs.
You got to play off whatever it is that perk their interest and keep the ball rolling all the way to balling.
Your shirt makes you look a little like a member of the Irish rugby team so if that is what understandably attracted the female in this couple to you then maybe play off that. Use the airport sign and towels but instead of the wine hand them a couple of pints of Guinness or a shot of Jameson or both and greet her with this warm Irish salutation;
