Purchasing a new mattress, and I've looked at TempurPedic and other memory foam ones as well as more traditional spring/pillow top mattresses.
Wondering who has experience with the memory foam, and what brands/models and firmness are better for sex?
I've heard good and bad about the memory foam - some say better, less bounce and more traction, others say worse - less bounce, too much sinking, etc.
Thanks for any info.

You really need to try before you buy. There is a lot of differences in foam mattresses. I actually have a harder mattress and then I added a soft 3
Try before buy is great in concept, but I imagine what I have in mind wouldn't go over well in most stores. ;-) Yes, I know many offer trial periods, but come with extra fees and delivery costs.
The things I've read are that the memory foam can cause constant shifting and sinking, can't stay in positions, and different techniques needed due to the non-responsiveness of the surface.
Bounce can do without, its more the sinking and inability to maintain a position that doesn't sound fun. And, yet other's say they like that - conforming foam sometimes leads to better positions, more traction, and possibly less fatigue, just needs an adjustment.
I've read that the traditional mattress with memory foam topper is a great hybrid and recommended by a few mattress review sites as the way to go. Right now, using your same setup on one bed, and a pillow-top on another. They're both comfortable and work well.
Thank you for the information. More hands on research needed.

We own a foam mattress for our bed because LJ prefers it for sleep (back sleeper), I hate it as a stomach sleeper. We have the spring mattress with pillow top in the pare room that we use for really fun sex as the foam mattress sucks for sex IMHO.
@DARKNLADYJEDI That's the consensus I'm hearing. I'm a side sleeper, and hear they're hard to get firmness/foam depth right for that.
Also, trying to find a latex mattress to try.
Thanks for your input.

We have had the traditional mattress, TempurPedic, and now we have the sleep number with pillow top. Best part about the sleep number is being able to set it soft for sleeping and pump it up firm for sex! TempurPedic is a great mattress but it traps your body heat and in the summer it sucks! Cum on over and test drive the two of us..... wait the TempurPedic and Sleep Number.
@H20Dreams - great info, and you've have all three.
I think I'm leaning to a spring, isolated coil with a latex or memory foam topper.
Sleep number is interesting. best of all worlds.
Test drives should be standard for mattresses, right? haha.

Sleep Number! Once done you can adjust to hard for your hard on, and soft to hard, your preference for sleeping. Both sides adjust separate, takes less than 20 seconds to adjust. Sex might last from minutes to perhaps hours, But most sleep is from 6 to 8 hours. Like Sugar said if you want bounce go to the Motel.

I this community trying out a bed is as simple as having friends with one.
Sorry but those thread counts are barbaric, BITE. Might was well sleep on dirty burlap (with cheatgrass stickers poking thru it). 600tc MINIMUM. We aren't hillbillies.

Sleep number is the best bed we have ever had. She adjusts her side I adjust my side and we end up in the middle most of the time.it also doesn't hurt on the pocket book when the wife works for them and we get a great discount.
In2lov I'm going to remember
that when its time lol

Thems fighting words you ignorant Flat Lander. Muskets of clubs Ferret boy.
Actually the bedbugs would prolly be a lot softer to sleep on than that hay they're using at the Hyatt et. al..
I have a memory foam mattress and I've never had any problems with sex, or complaints. I have have gotten a marriage proposal because of the bed though... hmmm

Contact me I can help you out a lot.
Tempur-pedic is what we have, have had several types as he has back problems. But so far the best. For sleep. But we aren't talking about just sleep so it's great for all activities

@Bitesize - thanks for the info. There's a good variety there.
@Sugarandspice Very true. There's been a few offers on here and via other kinky friends asked. I've heard sleep styles take about a week to adjust.
Thanks for the info. Now, I don't know if I want any marriage proposals offered. haha. What brand/model do you have?
Yes? Good. I need someone to help test one out. The pneumatic fucking machine usually pushes someone right off a traditional bed, so hoping the memory foam will help keep in place. Chains and rope assist, so need to make sure those don't tear at the edges. Just let me know what size attachment you can take, and if you're allergic to latex, or any other medical conditions I should be aware of :-) (Careful what you ask for)
Thanks to all, think I found one to try, and see how it goes.

I highly recommend an IntelliBED. We love ours. I can go into great detail but the short of it is...foam has a toxic off gassing. Foam also breaks down rapidly. The less foam the better
