I always like to find friends with mutual interests, and it's a lot safer to ask in this direction than people who are probably vanilla. Anyone on here a member of the SCA?
What's s c a?
The Society for Creative Anachronism is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe.
We have a friend that in the SCA though she also fights in the ACL and took gold in the battle of the nations....yes....she is BAD ASS!

We're members of the SCA. Well, honorary members. SCA stands for Society FOR Cruelty to Animals but since we only abuse our stuffed ferrets and the illuminati at the SCA claim that Rafael (named after our hero and benefactor Teddy Cruz) and Brunhilde aren't technically still animals they won't give us full membership.

Awesome Abysol! We're going to be up there for Field of Cloth and Gold. You going?
The plan at the moment is to go to it, yes.
Cool. If you see us up there, feel free to say hello!
