Just recently heard about this Black Ring on right hand deal
http://blackringrighthand.com/
Anyone else heard of this?
Does anyone else have a way they try to identify they are in the lifestyle, without being blatantly obvious ?

LOL, yeah this subject...or fantasy (and the black ring, or the ankle bracelet, or the...(insert urban legend here)) crops up every few months or so. Bottom line, no matter how hard people want to find a way to ID other swingers in public it won't happen. Let's say for a minute that all or even just most swingers DID agree somehow on some kind of article to wear or display. It would take about 24 hours (likely less) for someone to post it online and it would be pretty much common knowledge within a week. Ergo nobody would actually display it for fear of being outed. Sorry, just human nature on all counts.
We identify other swingers the old fashioned way. Sheer irrational speculation. Either that of we consult the Psychic Network. Both ways work equally well.

Ah yes, i see you point there. Makes perfect sense.
Sorry if this was brought up before, cant seem to find a way to search the forums? Is there a way?
A t-ahirt from The Red Rooster, Club Chamelion, or Le Trapeze has always worked well for me.
Several items of jewelry have been sold over the years that suposedly identify someone as a swinger. The only one that I ever saw that actually seemed to work was a pendant that had 2 male symbols & 2 female symbols crossed with each other. That one was pretty obvious.

The upside down pineapple in my shopping cart .........Thats what I look for...LOL
Yes, the black ring has been around for decades. Along with white rocks in your yard, flamingos, upside down pineapples, etc. I'm sure these things were helpful and even needed before the age of the internet.
Nowadays, there are so many ways to contact and meet people, I can't imagine the need to randomly bump into to other swingers.
In fact, the black ring is so well known, that that is the reason I DON'T wear one. I knew about it about 18 years ago, well before I ever considered swinging.
So, it's useless for two reasons. 1. Not enough swingers use it to be of much use. 2. Too many non swingers know about it to be very practical. But with the sites and parties and events, there really isn't much need for it anyway.
I'm glad I started all this recently with the internet to use. I really would have hated wearing black rings and putting white rocks and flamingos in my yard and upside down pineapples in my window.

FWIW we're on several other swing sites and one of them has an app for your smartphone that will alert you if you are close to another swinger (assuming they also have the app and it's enabled) and allows you to text them. Yeah, that one's pretty much been a bust as well even though it's actually a pretty good idea. People forget to turn it on (they usually don't leave it running when they're at work or home or at church just in case someone they really don't want to know they're a swinger somehow has the app) when they're actually in a vanilla situation where they wouldn't mind being approached. I don't know if the idea failed because people want privacy or because there really aren't that many swingers out there (despite all of our fantasies and "swingdar"). LOL
Upside down pineapple ?? lol i dont get that at all.....
"Wow what a complicated and somewhat idealistic way of describing fucking."
You READ all that?!!?

I like it. More concise and FAR less corny than DELICIOUS' soliloquy (which would prolly never fit on a t-shirt).

Early on, when looking into swinging, I visited another forum. A couple posted a picture of themselves with the caption, "We did it!" Their shirts were off and they were facing away from the camera. A few people posted that they didn't get it. The OP explained that they got upside down pineapples tattooed on their backs so other swingers would know they were in the lifestyle. No one knew what they were talking about. It was sad cause at first they joked that it was a well known sign, but person after person chimed in that they had never heard of it. Some people who had been in the lifestyle over ten years said they'd never heard of it.
After a while they stopped trying to convince people and then stopped responding.
It was pretty sad.

I didn't get that memo either.
Funny golf t-shirts. Things like I'm a SWINGER on it with a guy swinging a golf club.
