Swingers Forum - Deception. How many in the lifestyle do it to get what they want

People lie. All the time. About a lot of things. If you say you don't lie you just did. People lie to get sex. Why would the lifestyle be any different? Profiles are basically just ads to try to get the person laid. I look at ANY ad (lifestyle or otherwise) with a healthy dose of skepticism. But I'm just a glass is half full kinda guy that way.
I am not sure you mean lie. Everyone on here is not going to tell their whole life story.

If you meant why do people play games? Like can you guess if I am married or not? That is being deceived. Is this what you mean?

I am wanting to give good feed back but, kinda not to sure what type of lie or even the point of view you are wanting to hear?

Two members answered completely different on their own stories but, your story is vague and leaves me wanting to tell you every lie I have heard.

However, most are not lying and, really want to have a good time!
idk, I kind of get what she means. I feel like the way of the world is to lie or bluff your way through things. Too often the phrase "fake it 'til you make it," comes to mind, and is applied to job interviews, dating, life in general.

I understood what she meant in general. However, to get a clear response more info could help.
Yes, everyone lies and, maybe not on purpose. They may see themselves different that you do.
Even a innocent baby can tell you they did not spill the milk....when clearly you can see that they did.

I wanted to help her if she meant someone was hassling her and lying to her and, then coming over.
Maybe it is similar to the other discussion on backstabbing. Just wanted to give a better answer then everybody lies. Cause that is not always the case.
The easter bunny and santa are not real. So I think most of us are willing to lie about some things. How we see ourselves may not be how others see us.

I am bluntly honest about how I think or feel. But do I see my self in the same way as you do. I laugh at the tag line
Not the absolute funniest movie I've ever seen (considering one of my favorite comedians Ricky Gervais stars in it) but a very interesting treatise on honesty, lying and even religion. Prolly won't want to watch it if you're easily offended on the religion front. It certainly gave me a new perspective. Definitely worth watching and it might give you something to think about when it comes to lying vs. honesty.

Can people in the lifestyle be completely honest? Or do they play the game to get what they want or to play on other's emotions? I am wondering why in this type of a lifestyle why would you want to be deceptive?

Only "emotions" we have are for each other. When you take all of the over thinking and over judging (yourself and others) out of the picture, then it will become easier for you.

People don't like your "type"? Oh well, someone else will.

People "use" you for sex? Well then, mission accomplished. :)

Someone asks you to break one of your rules? Kick their ass down the road, you don't need that.

It is all cut and dry, when the "emotions" are set aside. Almost have to treat the LS as a business, with a business plan. You hire and fire employees (playmates) as needed. Keep around good performers, terminate bad performers, bonus extra milers.
