We are going to be booking for this August and it will be our first time going. Which resort would you recommend going to? We have heard others say to go with a take over. How would we find out about a take over any ideas? We would love any input to help in our decision.
Cabo is closed, but I have heard Desire Cancun over Pearl. Too bad...Cabo was a nice little property here on the west coast. We went during a time when there was not a take over, but a take over group came on the last night of our stay, and they were definitely moressexually active, but we met a lot of fun people before the takeover, and had a blast...we both kind of preferred the resort before the takeover. Always had at least two or three couples asking us to go to breakfast, lunch and dinner, learned a lot of interesting things about the people we met...it was just a fun comfortable group.
I would say if you are mostly looking to hook up for sex, takeover is your answer. If you are more into making friends and getting to know people, and developing friendships before the sexual stuff then go when there is not a takeover.

Thanks. Do any of you know about the memberships that they have to offer? If so What do you think about it? We currently have a timeshare but are inquiring about their package currently and are looking it over. Any input to that would be great. Also anyone that is a premier member want a referral? We saw a post here on the site at one time regarding the Gold and I know that it could be a cushion in someones pocket just for the referral, and more so if we purchase the package. Just let me know. Of course first come first serve.
We went to Desire Cabo last year and loved it. We were so disappointed that they closed it. So this Christmas we tried Desire Pearl. The resort was pretty small, 88 rooms. The rooms were awesome. We had a suite and it was huge. The food was pretty good. However, we were really disappointed with the crowd. Seemed like everyone went to bed early, not many people out at the club, even the New Year's party was pretty lame. The crowd was an older group. I would say most folks over 50.
We did go over one day to Desire RM. The crowd was much younger and it was more a party scene. We did ask to see a room and it was MUCH smaller.
For us, if we go back, we'll stay at Desire RM. Much more to our liking. Hope you have fun!
