We just purchased our new home in Grantsville, with unfinished basement... He of TK is a jack of all trades and can do so much. Thought it would be fun to see if there are any other skilled people out there that would like to build a basement. Bar, bathroom, gameroom, bedroom and some storage rooms
maybe after some hard work we can roll around in the sawdust
TK for some dirty construction

I can give you a Saturday afternoon just to be neighorly. But what you need and is harder to come by are a couple of guys 6'2" or taller to hang the ceilings. The rest can be easily done by anyone in shape or out with a little instruction. I've been around and done construction, private and commercial, since I was 5. I find there are only two things I do not do. Brick and rock work which I am only marginal at and scafold work of any kind above 80 feet high simply because I don't like it.
I can do it and have references. Some things I sub out because just not worth my effort but still have connections that are cheap. I do everything from framing to finish work. I work in construction so I know what I am doing also. And know grantsville grew up in tooele and we still visit the mexican place on main street. Hope to hear from you.

I have been in the business or 22 years now. I am 3rd generation interior plaster and drywall, I am talking the old school way custom quality you rarely see anymore. I have framed custom homes mostly but have been in high end commercial (management like superintendent) construction. I was one of three main supers on the Dakota Lodge in Park City an 80 million dolor project. I built the biggest courtroom in Idaho. 5 super Wallmarts and about 3 super Wallmart remodels just the high lights. I would be happy to help out any way I can no strings attached.
Let me know what I can help with. I do this kind of thing daily!
I do electrical and data work... make sure you have everything upstairs the way you want before you finish off your downstairs... I'm talking tv and phone/data lines upstairs...
Mostly your going to need, I am talking during construction, temporary location for the beer that can be removed after the permanent fridge/kegerator is in the final home. Needs to be in a highly visible area, easy access, away from direct sunlight......

Good luck to you! We have been doing the exact same thing to our basement for the last 6 weeks. Its a pain in the ass but we are 90 percent done and its well worth your while! Now I am shopping for the pool table and the 70 in TV!!!
Yes it will be worth it. We have the pool table already but not sure we will go with a 70". Maybe just a 60" :-)
We are thinking of doing the false ceiling instead of rock??? Your thoughts??
Thank you contractors but won't be subbing anything out.

My opinion.... do the sheet rock ceiling. Makes the place look much nicer and higher end.

It's nice to have access to the ceiling and they make acoustical tile that's real nice now. It doesn't look like an office building.
I would just come help for free. not trying to get work.
Thanks dusty. Lol I just find it hard to pay for stuff that I can do lol :-)
I know ceiling tiles have came a long ways over the past few years and there are some great looking items on Armstrong web page :-) thank you for that naughty.
