Swingers Forum - If you're going to blame your customer

I got the "Connection Error" message trying to log in earlier, telling me it's a problem with my internet connection. Too bad you didn't do a server side comment on real problem: "Too many connections"

I'm the poster child for every fucking error message, connection problem and browser fuck up imaginable on my POS laptop and I don't have any problems at all. And FWIW I'm on another swing site that's MUCH more expensive than Swingular and there are just as many people complaining about these issues and more. I know a guy who does I.T. for the other swing site and it's a fucking nightmare trying to deal with every possible combination and configuration of OS, browser, server, and ISP out there. Not downplaying the problems you're having, just sayin' it's kinda like a ginormous swing party with uber hot young cuties, old fat farts, drama ridden noobs, posers, maybe a bunch of polys who don't know they aren't really swingers anymore, and about a thousand creepy single guys from Craigslist and then expecting each and every one of them to just get along famously and then play Twister on a huge Twister mat with a dude who only speaks Mandarin Chinese spinning the spinner and calling out the color and body part combos.

Well okie dokie then.

lets look at this.... each of us paid a fee to get on here... not sure what it costs these days... but lets just say $100 for lifetime.

looking at the "New Members" on the home screen it looks like the site gets 3-5 a week... but lets round it up to 5. So thats $500 a week this site gets. or $2000 a month.

What speed internet connection do you think this site is using? t1.5? 100mbps? Maybe a fiber optic connection? RIght now there are close to 2000 people online... so its got to be a fast one in order for info to upload or download like it does... so lets go with google fibers 1 gigabyte per second. thats not cheap... $70 a month... now add cost of server hosting which goes for 300-400 per month (guessing) and then equipment costs and licensing fees and pretty soon that $2000 is gone... and we haven't even added the admin time to run the site...

and so what happens if 5 new signups a week doesn't happen?

No one is making money off this site! and if they are its not much... its a site that someone is maintaining for the enjoyment of other!

So If I have to try 3-4 times to log in or the chats not working... I'm not going to bitch and moan... cause I have definitely gotten my moneys worth from this site many times over!
So please stop bitching about this and that about this site and enjoy it for what it is...
and if in the future it goes to a site where you have to pay monthly fees then you can bitch all you want!

Sorry this is just my opinion and yours maybe be different and thats your right!

If that were a cause for concern, gmail, yahoo, hotmail, cnn, etc. etc. would be going down every day.
