Wouldn't mind if a couple of active people could be appointed forum moderators so we could clean up all the posts that are simply call outs against specific people or groups of people. It's starting to feel like I'm reading my kids Facebook wall.
Either the moderator needs to start doing their job, or Swingular should appoint someone new so we can keep this as a site for adults.
And no, I don't want the job. Appoint someone who has been an active member for a long time.

very much agree with you...it is just not worth posting on here anymore. Will stick to our friends and chatting with them, but have always found your posts very mature and responsible.

I figure it this way, if I don't want to look at a certain person's PM I just delete it. If there's a post I think is going a little too far, I just ignore it. No point is arguing about it all. We can censor what we read ourselves. Moderators have a terrible job (I'm one on a boating site) and you never know what is crossing the line to whom. To one person, things that Evildoers posts is offensive ( I personally love the posts), and other it's entertainment.
Bottom line is, if something annoys people and no one posts on it, the post dies a quick death.

I understand a moderator censors. My point was I don't expect them to decide which posts are good, I would simply expect them to remove posts that are nothing but personal attacks that add little to any type of discussion.

To say there are not some exceptions to free speech, I think we all know better than that. If you don't believe me, go to your place of employment (beginning tomorrow) and go around telling all the ladies how they need to go out with you and 'give it up' or show me your panties. I would suggest doing it in front of HR, and when they try to fire you, tell them about your constitutional rights.
