I
I would check out Club 90 (I think the name is a reference to the average age of their clientele) on two for one Dilaudid night.
That's about as slow as it gets, honestly.

Ya see, I was just about gonna call you a twat-waffle again 'cause I couldn't tell if you were serious or not!! So now I'm googling Club 90 trying to see if that's a possibility half-figuring that your Chittin' me! And as far as your previous "Age" reference, do keep in mind that some of us actually DO prefer mature men past the 20-year oldish "I'm-such-a-freaking-stud-look-at-me-as-I-try-to-prove-it" stage of life!

But what you're saying seems true as far as not much is available in the way of subtle toned-down musical possibilities. Maybe a blues or jazz joint? We've never been much of the bar-hoppers so aren't familiar with around here. Now, back in the day, when we lived in Seattle? Endless choices of all types! Seems more limited here.
I think you might be able to catch that at Golden Acres Retirement Community in the Senior Center.
According to Gertrude, pictured below, it goes late tonight, until 10 PM, ending so that all can take their medications before heading to bed after a long wild night.
I hear the place smells of Gold Bond powder and Geritol, the latter of which I think they use to spike the punch.
Have fun!

Ahh yes, I see, a geriatric single male making fun of the elderly!! I'll bet you're wearing skinny jeans right now in order to keep with the trends, eh?

But seriously, I guess I'll search on blues or jazz and keep my eye out here to see if anyone posts with suggestions other than the local retirement homes!

Why I oughta hit you with my walker if you were here!

Oh PLEASE, you couldn't even get to me before I'd a whacked ya with my cane -- it reaches our further than yer damn walker!
Damn young punks! No respect for their elders.

Actually, I am a big fan of the slow dancing, much more "hands on" is always a good thing. Best of luck.
You could always visit Club Krazy entrance fee is pretty cheep and they take requests all night. The quality of men are top notch and they dont mind to be fondled, just not a lot to choose from. lol
and the men here will give you a night you will never forget, as long as it will only last until 11 pm, they fall asleep. easy.
WE like club krazy ;-)

DAMN YOU PEOPLE! LMAO, I am SOOO freaking gullible! I ACTUALLY, cut and pasted "Club Krazy" in to the address bar of my browser, preparing to do a Google search, before I looked at the username making the recommendation! Azzholes! That's some funny chit!
There's a really old creepy guy at Habits most weekends (he sorta looks like the old Indian dude in "40 Year Old Virgin"). He dances pretty slow (well, more like shuffles around so as to not dislodge his Depends). At least that's what he does until they play Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" for like the third time each evening. Then he REALLY let's his shit loose.

Wouldn't be afraid of Club 90, on 90th south. tho we haven't been there for a year and a half. It is all ages except there really were no oldish types there. You might see a few out of shape middle aged guys who just aren't up to moving very much while dancing. But hell, any guy can be like that. Mostly, all were there to have a good time without judging appearances. ....and the noise level was low enough you could actually communicate with others. They had slow dances frequently during the night, the food was always good, and they had some pool tables.
Hmmm...2nd recommend for Club 90 if you include the Evildoers who just recommended someone who uses Depends, implying that I'd be looking for men slow enough that they'd not be able to escape my clingy, horny, grasp! The only thing about Club 90 is, having looked up it's location, it's in Sandy. Hell, if I'm going THAT far south I might as well crash the gates at the Christmas Lifestyle Manor party and abuse the husband half of some couples there! I think my hometown is listed as Bountiful right now but I actually live in a lil' burg even north of there -- makes the drive a pain in the arse!
Hmmmm complaining that Salt Lake (okay Sandy) is too far to drive. Yep, you're definitely a geezer.

LOL -- I think the point was that this Club 90 place MAY have music a bit toned down and MIGHT play a few slower song choices? So driving an hour and a half for something that might be available locally seems unnecessary? Given events, let me put it to you this way. This particular swinger enjoys her unicorns with their horns placed a tad further south as compared to male-dominated swingers such as yourself. So lets take that hour and a half and assign it an "Opportunity Cost" as if we're in a basic economics class. Instead of driving, that time could be spent on any of the following:

At an establishment of fine dining enjoying a romantic dinner. In a Blues/jazz bar chatting up a few local men, eventually swaying together on a tiny dance floor. Back at home, sunggling naked, sandwiched between two handsome men while Fogerty, Adele, Chili Peppers, and other music too tame for the younger crowd plays in the background. Relaxing with a couple glasses of wine, and a pile of blankets before the fire. Having the fire within sated. Waking the next morning, with no hangover, and remembering. Perma-grin hits. Still plenty of time and energy to make church by 10, and hit the gym by noon. Ah, yes, if this is your definition of geezer, I embrace it. Whole-heartedly, repeatedly, and with great zeal. :)
The Zest of life....Is only found when you explore all options...hehehe

Anywho who...I was thinking probably Gracies in Salt Lake City. A cute older band plays all different types of music. However they way they play is very relaxing. They do play slow dances. Plus tons of people there as well on a Thursday-Sunday. You can get food and wine and dine the whole club. Would not take to long as it is easy to see everyone in the club. It is high end bar and very nice atmosphere!

When I go to a bar to play my naughty ways. I like to go to bars I can see everyone and everything. I have to pounce...hehehe
Sorry I missed the conversation yesterday. Some of us other geriatric folks would LOVE to find such a place. Anyone else with real info please post it. I realize that most do not read the go to Swingular on the weekend. In the absence of other info I Guess we will have to look up Gracie
Well,

Sugar and Spice. We have also been to the Fifth in Bountiful. It also has a band on Saturday night. They do change bands but, some of the bands are beyond amazing. They have some Jazz bands, Some country and some rock bands that play. Most of them can play both slow and fast songs. You can always request music to be played as well.

We also have done some karaoke at the fifth and love it. So you might want to try that out in your spare time as well. (=
SaaWeet, Hotfire! Thanks for both those hints. I'm hoping for another "surprise" bale-out by my children this week (on a day other than Christmas of course!) so I just might have to drag my husband out to visit one of those -- Thanks! :)
I agree on Gracies and The Fifth are your best bets. A band called The Number Ones plays at Gracies often and is a good bet for romantic music since they only play jazz covers of #1 pop hits. Usually these are romantic songs. I've seen HotFireLovers at the Fifth and they are indeed fun in that kind of environment. If you go to The Fifth, let me know since I live right across the street from the venue and can host for free drinks after ;)
Sireros and GingerG, thanks, both those sound like good leads ... The garage looks good on certain nights and I know there's a place called the "Outlaw" in the Ogden area too that might do.

Voyeurs4u, that sounds great, but then how would I EVER maintain my virginity!
