We found out that it's very simple to copy pictures from this website. As far as it's for your own private contacts we do not see a problem, but there are still people under our readers that use the photographs for other purposes. Some guy did use pictures of us one day for his advert!!! Perhaps that is a reason why some couples among us keep their faces hidden.
Its very simple to prevent making a copy.

There's no way to prevent anyone from copying photos from ANY website. The way that computers and the internet works is that in order for your computer to display a picture from the internet, it has to download it locally to your computer. I can add javascript that prevents someone from right clicking and choosing 'save as' but they can still go to their browser cache and get the picture there. Also, if someone holds down the shift key while right clicking, they can bypass the javascript and get the 'save as' menu. If someone really wants your photo, they will be able to get it no matter what the webmaster does.
The only REAL way to prevent someone from obtaining your picture is to NOT post it. Sorry but that's a fact.

Yes, you are right about the java script, but many people don't know how to bypass it. It would at least stop them from making a copy. On my commercial website I receive questions from friends how to get a copy of a photograph. They told me "the right click" doesn't work! So it might help preventing, even for a few picture thiefs.
Anyway, we find swingular very good, you need all the compliments there are.

well I searched the topics before posting anything, but accidentally found out that even though the script comes up saying right click disabled on images, then the menu command comes up anyway giving you the option of saving it to your computer. and it does save it . but I see that this is old news
