We r going in a couple weeks and would like input from people that have been there. We want to know what to expect and how much clothes we should bring. We r assuming clothing is required anywhere food is served. Are there nice restaurants that we need to dress up for? Should we even bother packing swimsuits?
Here are some notes:

We always go with a take over group and always have the greatest time. Being there without a group is a little different in that it seems to take a little more to get people to open up. You're going to want to bring nice clothes for dinner. There are 3 restaurants to choose from. Late night you can have room service or eat at the lobby bar and have pizza or sandwiches. If you eat at the bar, watch out for the Lemur.

When it comes to packing, travel as light as you can. The beaches are clothing optional, but it's still nice to have a bathing suit from time to time. You can always find good drinks at CiCi's Beach Bar. The amazing thing is CiCi always remembers what you like to drink. If you want a beach bed, you can reserve one, but we always have good luck simply asking for one when we want it.

The real party happens at the roof jacuzzi. No need for clothes there. It opens around dinner time and closes around 3 or 4.

Each night has a theme and it's posted on the resort website. After dinner most everyone heads to the Disco which is above the lobby. Make it there and behind the bar is a door to the play room. As the night progresses you'll find people tend to migrate to the jacuzzi.

Next to the beach volleyball court is a Palapa (straw hut) where you can take out catamarans, snorkel gear, and kayaks. Take the time to at least get a snorkel mask to see all the fish just a few feet from the shore.
Yummy!!!! So jealous of both of you guys! Sounds like fun!!!!
Thanks! Very helpful
So Jealous! Have Fun!

We went to Desire Cobo last year, and are going to Desire Pearl for New-Years. They have theme nights you'll want to dress for and yes you need clothes to go in the restaurants. We're not nudists so we wore swimming suits at the pool, about 50% were also.

You are going to a lifestyle resort, that means there will be a little of everything for everyone with very little judgement on what you do, or don't, wear.

Have a great time :-)
We have decided to go to Desire Pearl with PLAYW3 in their luggage. They won't need that much clothing if we come along, so there will be plenty of room. ;)
Mmmmm no..no idea
We have been several times and enjoyed it every time. As newbies to the resort we over packed our first time. So its our recommendation to pack light. you only need dinner clothing, swimming suits for walking on the beach and clothing if you plan to travel off the resort. Other than that its all up to you and how comfortable you are being naked.

You will have a good time so enjoy.
