I am wondering what you all recommend for a good chat option to connect with lifestyle friends - Chat on here is broken quite a bit of the time :-(
I see that some people are using KIK ... it would be great to have something that works on smartphones and the PC... anyone trying or using Skype, Google+, etc...
It would also be nice to be able to log off and not get messages so prying eyes (that would be my kids) did not see them come in...

We use kik and Yahoo messenger. They are both nice for people who dont want to share phone numbers.
