The weather is finally improving. Anyone heading out for weekend hikes? Really looking for those that like to hike on Sunday.
We like Sundays, not as congested. =) We recently did Bridal Falls, nice and easy for a first hike this season.
What are your favorite trails?
A really tough one for me was Bell Canyon in Sandy.
Love Bell Canyon, or Stair Stepper Canyon as it is known. I'm going to hit that one on Sunday.

I was huffing and puffing with Bell Canyon, just to get to the lake was rough. But it got easier on the trail. Boy, i've seen a bunch of barefooted hikers, i couldn't image doing that.
I made it to the waterfall last year but never to the upper reservoir. Guess that is ahead of me on Sunday.
I like Salt Lake City's Mount Olympus hike. It is a moderately hard 6 mile hike but I think it is well worth it.
I wouldn't mind having a hiking buddy on a Sunday morning. I used to do a lot of early morning hikes on Sundays. I haven't for a long time and I miss it (so does my waste line). I'd have to start with an easy trail probably.

Mr. Sexperimentors
me as soon as the weather warms a bit more i might ride UP the canyons for a lark on my bike beautiful solitary country up there
Mind: Yes, I do remember! I'm sure we could make it up the trail.
Minknight: Adams is a great trail. Rather "easy" as I have seen 5 year old on it no problem. The falls are nice. Always wanted to figure out how to get to the top of the falls there.

I'm getting reports that Antelope Island is getting a lot of bugs already. But if it's tolerable, Elephant Head and White Rock trail are nice. Also good for mountain biking.
We live near a trailhead in Ogden where we access the Bonneville Shoreline Trail but prefer the hike to Malans Peak. Bues Canyon and Waterville Canyon are right behind the house too.
When the weather gets a bit better, we'll be hiking Ben Lomond with some regularity.

Yea, Mt Timp is a bit of a hike not for taking small kids. Ask me how I know. lol.
I would love to do some early morning hikes on Sundays Mav, hit me up if you're interested in a fun hiking buddy.
My wife and I are always up for hiking. My wife can't go on long hard hikes due to health problems but I can do the harder hikes with anyone that wants my company. Let us know.
Guess I'll take the lead and form a Sunday hiking group. Shoot me an email if you are interested in joining.......

bridal falls is fun, you have to try hiking up to donut falls as well, it's a great hike and the falls are interesting. big cottonwood canyon has some good quick trails to play around on
, the trails run right by the creek so it stays cool even in the summer heat. At many places you can sneak off and play in the creek, even though I think you're technically not supposed to..... naughty us

We just finished a weekend trip to Fifth Water Hot Springs near Spanish Fork. Great hike up, with a rewarding finish!

was it fairly secluded then? seems like a lot of the hikes we've been on recently have been somewhat crowded
Our favorite is The Subway. The only down side is it takes a half day to get to the trail head and you really want to start early. But the rewards are breathtaking.

It depends on when you go up. Sometimes it's very crowded, sometimes it's nice and quiet. Even when there are lots of people around, though, there are hidden hot pools for the adventurous and discreet.
oh wow nice pic of the subway trail? I'm new to Utah and definitely would love to explore the hiking trails here, but mostly the hot springs!
When is the best time to go with a hiking buddy with less crowds?

I just need some hiking buddies though......
Angel's landing is our favorite it so awesome at the top.

We would have to agree with you guys on this one. Its one our favorite hikes in Utah!
Hmmm hiking is that what the people are doing on the trails that we run past...is that what they call it? hiking?
OK being a smart ass here a little we do like to hike and trail run often. Bells is a good one that frankly is pretty damn tough to run the whole thing. Corner Canyon has a few, Ghost Falls is a favorite run there. The BST is good and some spots are far better. Stewart Falls is a good 3 mile one that is easy but can get packed for sure. Some other great ones that are a little more challenging maybe Dog Lake and Desolation Lake. Mt Oly and Lone Peak are some ass kickers for sure. But let's not forget Deseret Peak.
Deseret Peak is the road less traveled for sure. You can have the whole thing to yourself many times.
MINDNBODY - I am an AVID mt biker and would LOVE to find you on a trail somewhere.

If anyone is going to come south to camp, bike, hike or go to the lake hit us up, we hike Zion alot. The Mr hikes there constantly. He did the subway 13 times last year and is always looking for a hiking partner.
Hey, planning on a hike this Sunday in the SLC or Provo area. Perhaps DFHS or a good waterfall. If interested, let me know.

Well, I was going to organize a hike for this Sunday, but it being Mother's Day, the time is best spent paying homage to our female counterparts. We will plan for next Sunday!
Happy Mother's Day!

We also love hiking. Ferguson's trail is the best. It is a nice cool shaded hike. If you are into rock climbing there is some good places to do that up there also.
We have a kid that would go with us. So if anyone takes along their kids I would love to go with you. No naked hiking for us very often

Ferguson's is cool. Short hike though. Was hoping to find something that ends/passes a mountain lake for a dip. No need to hike naked. Too risky anyway!
