Where is a good place to go snowmobiling? We want to go this sunday but not sure where to go outside of Tooele, also wanted to see if anyone with snowmobile wanted to go as well.
Its a bit of a travel for you guys. But one of the best spots I have ever gone is monty cristo up Ogden canyon. It is beautiful up there and as 100s of square miles to explore

East of Kamas or East of Heber are all interconected so you can pretty much go from Kamas to Spanish Fork canyon if you had the time and gas. Anywhere in between are GREAT play areas if you want to get off the trail. Monty Cristo is great as well so you can't really go wrong with either area. I've spent way more time East of Heber than anywhere else so I'm probably a little bias. Have fun, be safe and be prepared for anything.
I was up in the Strawberry area on Monday and it was great. Decent amount of snow and the weather was perfect.

Is open year round and probably your best bet if you don't know an area or are going with someone familiar with an area, it is difficult to get lost and lots of off trail riding. We sold our machines a few years ago because almost anywhere you go now someone is chasing you down telling you to get off private property or telling you to stay off the trails they are for tours. Some friends went east of Heber where they had snowmobiled for years and were sited for trespassing.

Go up buy hardware ranch toward bear lake is a nice ride I have done it before an I like the ride if u want we can go Sunday
I love renting a room at Daniels Summit up past heber. You go to Heber then go east to the right up the canyon towards strawberry. As you top out there is a huge lodge, thats it. Tons of trails, a hot tub and a pool, nice rooms. The food is kinda spendy, so bring some if your on a budget.
For just a day trip I love down south FairView area, I go up and dump off by Gooseberry, lovely area. Closer than that up spanish fork canyon you can dump off at the rest area and its a nice ride, mapped trails.

We go up past Kamas most of the time. We head up and over to the Mirror lake highway warming hut. We have been sledding nude up there in the spring. (we pics to prove it) If anybody want to go on a Thursday or Friday let us know. We have 2 spare sleds if you just pay for the gas and oil.
