In today's world phone numbers travel with people and even when you move you don't have to change the area code of your cell phone. READ the OP's profile... they have a permanent place in Paradise Lakes (FLORIDA) and their college student is "home" there for the holidays, and willing to baby sit... what's the problem? Who said the OP is IN Utah, they just have a Utah phone number. With the ability to call forward calls, you don't even have to give out more than one number. I've lived in Florida for over 5 years without any other address and still carry my California phone numbers.

We are going to Paradise for New Year's Eve and get there frequently. We don't have kids and thus a need for a babysitter. At least this student might understand why you might want someone to watch your kids while you are out playing. This seems to be a legitimate offer, don't make it something it isn't. Its as simple as having a Utah phone number we use everywhere. We split our time between Utah and Florida (a great combination)....This is a legitimate offer, but the dad will screen.
