We are looking for an attorney in Kentucky or Tennessee either in the lifestyle or sympathetic to the lifestyle. We are looking to open a club and need legal advice. Please contact us if you know or are one.

Thank you,
Robert & Rachelle
I don't honestly think you would need an attorney. Most swingers clubs opperate as just a house that holds parties. Unless you are serving alcohol you shouldn't need license of any kind. at the door, you have donations, not entry fees. The only place i know that did have an operating license was in San Diego, THAD's. The owner had to file suite against the city and county to get the councilman and law enforcement to stop harrasing him. The city finaly gave him a license as a "Sexual Encounters Club" but not allowed to serve alcohol. Anyone that brought alcohol had to put it in a fridge and could take out their own alcohol anytime they wanted, but the helpers couldn't serve the alcohol.
I appreciate the responce but as a former member of Trapeze in Ft. Lauderdale, I can definitely see the benefit of working with an attorney for many reasons. Because of the waivers they had the clients sign, all attempts at prosecuting people after the raids by the Broward County Sherrif's office failed miserably. As per my original message, I am no longer in South Florida but in the Shiny Brass Buckle of the Bible Belt. I want to make sure all "I's" are dotted and "T's" are crossed before I open and the army of Bible bashers run to the local authorities to shut down my "den of evil and sin" (hmmm... catchy name, might have to go with that).

Any club in TN has to be BYOB kind of club. Have been to 3 of the swing clubs, 2 (on premis)in Naashville & 1 (Off premis)in Memphis. They are all like that. Just depends on the area you might be looking to go. Check city/County regulations first.
