What is the general consensus on Rolling when you swing? People are often very quiet about the subject and in the spirit of that I'm not going to describe Rolling, so if you know what I'm talking about let me know what you think. We are friends with a couple that do and they've invited us to play with them. We've done it once before, curiosity, but not in a group situation.

I've rolled a few times and I don't like it at all. I wouldn't want to be rolling while doing anything sexual and I would not engage in sexual activities with a couple that was currently rolling. I'm usually alright if you like to do that sort of thing, I just usually request that you don't do it around me or try to pressure me into doing it with you.

The whole point of not telling people what rolling was was that I dont' need a lecture on the evils of drugs I just wanted to ask a question and get a response from people who have done it or at least know what it is so that I can make an INFORMED decision. assuming that if you didn't know, you would be anti-drug completely, or would have no information.
the problem ewith rolling is the sweat factor...that is what kills most rollers, dehydration...IF you want to stop mid-session to drink and such...I did roll twice (male here) and it was very noice to be in a sexual situation...but the dehydration sucks...I do not do it any longer...If you have rolled before...You know how to take care of it...

I'm worried because it was such an emotional (in a great way) experience if i'll start and then not want to do anything with the couple, or i'll or he'll bond too much with the other couple making it uncomfortable, I'm pretty sure the sex would be absolutely amazing.

Not going to lecture just state our position. We just can't see why someone would take chances on hurting themselves or dying from a drug.

We don't use and never will. She comes from a drug home, her parents have used for almost 20 years so she has seen first hand what happens, we will never condemn someone for using any kind of drug but will never have it as a part of our lives. We both have lost too many friends and family from it, whether they are now in prison or dead.
For us we don't see why people would need to use and swing. If you have found a couple or single that you click with that alone should give you the excitement you crave, but again just our opinion.
As a couple we only consider D/D free people but again whatever you choose is your choice and we respect that.

it is for some and others will never know what they missed out on the stuff takes on a bad rep sort of like weed does. for real info go to dancesafe.org the site has unbias info on most anything they call party drugs they are just tryin to help people not overdose on anything if you do any party drugs atleast be well informed first

Here's my question. #1: How many of you who are looking down your noses at ScooterNKitten, for being open and honest about themselves??? And, #2: How many of this same group regularly drink alcohol, when swinging or not?

I appreciate all your responses and I think it's great that we got so much advice pro and con. I think that trying to be anti-drug in the swinging world from a moral or health related angle is a little silly, I think swinging is a drug just like alcohol or anything else. It gives you a rush and an experience that not a lot of other things do.
I also would like to comment without naming names that I got a lot of emails pertaining to this thread, afraid to post because of the stigma. I think its very strange that such a stigmatized group of people would be unaccepting of another. Its sort of counter-intuitive.

This is kind of off the subject, but I heard there is a movie out there that describes the high you have on extasy. Does anybody know what it is?
If you can get real MDMA or MDA (something i haven't found since 1987) it's interesting...of course i wouldn't trust anything out there now, that comes in "bean" form.....plus techno music is the devil.
We have both done it while having sex, and I have to admit that the sensation was unbelieveable. There is a complete sense of euphoria that you can not compare to anything else you have ever experienced.
EVERYTHING positive makes you very happy. Negative things make you very sad. When you come down, you can have feelings of depression. Speaking as people who have "rolled" before, it is not something that the average person wants to do on a regular basis. The side effects can be devastating if you abuse it. Despite having done it ourselves many times in the past, it is not something that we do on a regular basis, not even semi regular to be honest.
We did meet with a couple once at a club in Florida, and they too were rolling that night. We had a truly unforgettable evening that night. We also met with another couple the same year who were considerably younger, and who had also been rolling, and they were an embarassment to us all.
We are both very careful about with whom we share our private lives, meaning that if we smoke a little weed here and there, our friends either do themselves, or are completely accepting of the fact that we do. I cant imagine spending time with anyone who has been rolling unless I am certain that they can completely handle it.
But never in public.
Thats something that I would personally reserve for the privacy of my own home.

But I mean ALL drugs when I say drugs. There are millions of addicts out there who are completely hooked on pain killers, sleeping agents...etc. etc. and that is okay in some strange socially acceptable way.

The statement that those in the lifestyle have no room to comment on something based on moral or health grounds is a bit far fetched; however what you do in the privacy of your home or with a friend(s) when all parties know what is going on ahead of time is your thing.

What I mean by far fetched is that maybe rolling is dangerous, (although the latest study that was released was later retracted because the scientists were using the wrong drug (methamphetamine) on the monkey that they were testing on). But we are all engaging in what most people out-side of the swinging world would call HIGH RISK BEHAVIOUR. High risk behaviour includes at the TOP OF THE LIST, sex with multiple partners, tattoos are another high risk behaviour.
My point being that everyone on this site is practicing at risk behaviour, in one way or another. Whether you belive it or not, and to most people extremely high risk behaviour, so to tell me that drugs are dangerous is a little hypocritical. We all take precautions that we decide we can live with one way or another, but the truth is that we all are at a higher risk than those who do not swing.
This post, I'm sure will bring up a flurry of statistics telling me that swinging is safe, and I agree with that to an extent, just as I know there have been very few reported overdoses of Ecstacy.
We take our chances in life and live with them, but don't pretend that what you're doing is perfectly safe.
As far as morally suspect, I again bring up the fact that MOST people statistically speaking, about 70% think we are a bunch of sick fucks. That's why we don't tell our family and friends, I don't mean to bring you down, but it's true. I belive that is unfair and rediculous, I'm informed and hey, I'm a swinger so I kinda have think that, but a lot of people would call us sex addicts, addicts hmmm makes you think huh?

I'm not taking anything wrong, I just noticed this sort of strange attitude about things when i was looking at an interracial thread. People were trying to convince others that interracial relationships and swinging were morally wrong and a major health risk, and it kinda made me think. I think it's great that everyone has talked about this. A lot of people, swingers included use drugs and I think it needs to be brought up, good or bad.
And I want to say also, that I really apppreciate everyone taking the time out to post about it. And I thank you.

Glad you are not taking things wrong. :-) Hate when folks misunderstand us. :-) We don't think there are health risks with interracial unless the person is sick. Disease risk has nothing to do with skin color or religion.

I am Raven and my husband and I are drug free, I have had a few moments here this summer where I "puffed the magic dragon", but we can NOT have it around us at all while out publicly or if my husband is anywhere where it might blow in his direction. We could lose EVERYTHING! Legal or not is not our choice really, I keep signing petition after petition. I have done most everything I have a motto I will try anything once, well most anything I have slowed down in motherhood. I would Roll... I have rolled (and with a short lived and very new boyfreind at the time. I have rolled while out dancing, or sitting in the woods in CT and feeling the breeze thinking. I loved it, still would I am sure if only I could NOT worry about the kids being with a sitter and needing me at the drop of a hat, or my husband not being able to share the experience too. Yeah It does that to you. I did NOT sweat a lot... I hydrated first, sucked a lolli during (and used vicks vaor rub to keep the nausea at bay).

Be safe make sure you are aware of your surroundings and can just chill and R O L L . . . . it is very, very, very good for enhancing the experience.
