So I'm a little upset. A few weeks ago eliteutahparties asked me to be one of the models for them for their sushi night. People would eat sushi off my naked body. I accepted. Since I was going to model and not eat, I didn't see a reason to buy tickets and they never told me to buy tickets. I didnt bother making any other plans for this weekend because we were already going to this party. Today, 3 days before the party they tell me they don't need me and they r sold out. So now, i cant go even if I wanted to go. And its a little late to make other plans. If they had never asked me to model, i would have bought tickets a week ago. Anyone else see something not right about this?

Sounds like they asked for more help than they needed and when they realized they needed to cut back, you weren't in their top ten. And since they are sold out, they don't need your money either. Sometimes it sucks to be marginalized and objectified. I feel for you, but its better to find out now than later.
A verbal contract isn't worth the paper it's written on.
Verbal contracts can be enforced. It is just hard to do so. You probably had contact through an email system and that is a written one. Depending on what was said and what was promised there could be civil litigation. But I guess that you were a volunteer at no pay and thus it would be a wash out.But the problem is that it is just not worth the loss of karma to litigate. I also doubt that it would be worth the legal fees either. Venting in the forum is probably as good as it gets.
But if you really wish to be a dinner plate or center piece there are lots of people that are open to the idea and I am sure we could find a table somewhere.
