AT first it didn't sound so bad from the headline but I think the picture with the kid and his soccer balls and lacrosse equipment was to much. And something about how hot that MILF is and her expression.
it happens. some times the child has other issues and the breast milk is nutritional supplement. I know some mothers that breast feed til age 4. all depends on situation. people shouldn't judge to harshly until they get all the facts of each situation.
Personally Although I personally think it would have been weird for the Mrs to breast feed the kids until they were that old, I also understand that it is extremely healthy for the child. So to each their own. 
Yeah not sure what all the controversy is about (other than the fact that she allowed a pic of her doing it on the cover of a national magazine) it's totally her right to do so. It's certainly not hurting anyone. I guess you could argue that it violates the sanctity of traditional breast feeding. ;-)

The irrelevant magazine is trying to drum up interest. Oprah or someone else had people on doing it to like 6 year olds. Shock value.

This is not a new issue. TIME is just trying to sell magazines by a controversial cover and headline. "Are you MOM enough?" A bit offensive to imply that people who don't do this "attachment parenting" aren't good moms. One of my daughters would have breastfed until 4 if I had let her. Two years was long enough for me but to each their own.
From people I knew in Florida 30 years ago, it is not that unusual in some Spanish cultures. I do have to admit that it was a bit odd to see it in Game of Thrones where the boy looked to be 9 or 10 to me.
