I still say infections of various kinds are more common than many realize and not something a shower will cure or prevent the transfer of. They are more common in women over 40 as the chemistry changes.

The big question to me has always been, how is someone with excessive odor not aware? On top of that, if they do know, wouldn't they avoid playtime like the plague?

I have to agree with the ones that have said, maybe they can't smell it. I gave up smoking about 8 years ago, and when I smoked I never could smell the smoke. But, others were always telling me how bad I smelled of smoke. Once I gave it up, I was like OMG, did I really smell that bad. Now I notice the smell of smoke and other things. Could be they just can't smell themselves, when you're around yourself all the time you're not going to notice. How best to tell them, not sure! FYI to put out there too. A iud can cause a fishy smell. Nothing is necessarily wrong, but its one of the side effects (but usually sososo worth not getting pregnant by a play partner if a condom breaks or anything like that).
