How do you go about telling someone that they are unfresh down there without sounding mean. Especially if you really like them as people??
Just flat out tell them you never cam go wrong helping someone out the truth is always best
Ya but people are sensitive babies these days...they might get offended.. but if they are cool and true friends just tell them
Trust your nose. Smells can be signs of bacteria or other health concerns. I would assume they showered before getting naked with you. This is not something you want to transfer to your bodies . I would insist they both visit a doctor before you play.
I have made it a custom to shower before play. Its just the norm.
Niether would she... Dude...
Well you dont really need to "say" anything per-say since it is a awkward topic. However you can nicely give if its a female her a bag that has summers eve or feminine wash something that granted its a still awkward but not as much so as hey bitch your pussy sinks.
Would have to say it's better said than handed a bag with douche in it. Wouldn't be too happy if I was handed a douchebag!
yeah... nothing is worse than getting a whiff of crotch rot... now when you can smell them through their clothes... and they just happen to have guests over as well... it is in THEIR best interest that you pull them aside and tell them to go wash that damned thing!
Lol at what point do you actually bring this up, at dinner or naked twister when you can actually poke your tongue out and lick it?

Mrs bubbles
I still say infections of various kinds are more common than many realize and not something a shower will cure or prevent the transfer of. They are more common in women over 40 as the chemistry changes.
Some things a over the shelf drug will not cure.
If it smells bad it is not a playground for fun.
The big question to me has always been, how is someone with excessive odor not aware? On top of that, if they do know, wouldn't they avoid playtime like the plague?
It seems ridiculous but have gotten naked with people before who it smelled like they hadn't showered!!! I would just tell them. Nicely of course if they ask you what is wrong. @maybemor, sometimes it is just that they didn't shower...not most infections smell...BV and yeast infections but not everything smells...and with BV and yeast infections you can usually see something.
J52- I would have to refer just as an example some(not all)really large people have a odor, or someone with bad teeth there breath is horrid but I really dont think they can smell it.
Maybe- I agree with the last, if it smells bad the playground isnt for fun.
sometimes your ph balance can be at a certain level and that will effect taste and smell. not necessarily in a bad way, but if you were to play with someone and you weren't used to that particular odor, it might make your nose wrinkle.

@j52 in particular: some people become used to their particular odor whether they should or shouldn't have it and thus don't realize that it is unpleasant to others. some people are also naive in the fact that others can or cannot smell it. i've had friends with hygiene problems in which they really truly didn't realize that it was an issue.

for people that i'm around enough that its an issue, its just kindly suggested that the odor is an issue and here's a few helpful suggestions that might make it easier for them to attract others. with a few, the problem was solved right there. with others there were some initial slightly hurt feelings and then they realized the issue and the problem was solved.
People have different opinions about what "really clean" means. You might be shocked at what some people think of as clean.

So, be up front, before getting naked, that hygiene and health are even more important to you than sex. And, if you're not comfortable, then you don't continue.
ask if they want to join you for a sexy shower. I always shower before i have "guest" but have had Ph problems in the past and I always take a break until I get it all under control. As far as I am concerned its the same as a monthly visit. Dont play if the field isn't green.

Suffice it to say that Maybemor would know. Just saying there are those that have been to school and know this stuff...
I have to agree with the ones that have said, maybe they can't smell it. I gave up smoking about 8 years ago, and when I smoked I never could smell the smoke. But, others were always telling me how bad I smelled of smoke. Once I gave it up, I was like OMG, did I really smell that bad. Now I notice the smell of smoke and other things. Could be they just can't smell themselves, when you're around yourself all the time you're not going to notice. How best to tell them, not sure! I would hate to think someone got their feelings hurt, but I do think they need to be told. Try to find the best way to approach the subject and tell them.
I lived in a primitive place for two-and-a-half years. When I first encountered the people I thought: "Wow, they smell terrible". A year later I thought they were cleaner than most people I ever met. It's true, you get used to the way you and your surroundings smell.
I once sat down at a bar next to an attractive woman and said "excuse me for being so bold, but can I smell your pussy"? She gave me a dirty look and said "no you certainly cannot"!!! I said "my bad, it must be your feet"! Problem solved.
ROCK
I would think its how you say it rather than what you say. You have to be honest but tactful cause it is a sensitive subject for anyone no matter whether they are female or male. I think the shower play is a great idea but you also need to tell them cause there could be other issues going on too
When you think about it, this really isn't that much different than a recent thread dealing with people wearing too much perfume/cologne.
Offensive is offensive.
a little online research willl tell you that a fishy smell from a woman is a sign of a bacterial vaginitis. its not usually a sexually transmitted thing, since men can't carry it. but a man can transfer it if he doesn't use condoms or wash off between multiple partners.
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the most common cause of vaginitis symptoms among women of childbearing age. BV reflects a change in the vaginal ecosystem. This imbalance, including pH changes, occurs when abnormal bacteria outnumber the normal ones. A change in sexual partners and douching may increase the risk of acquiring bacterial vaginosis. The primary symptom of BV is an abnormal vaginal discharge with a fish-like odor.
So ladies, if your vag smells like fish when you use the bathroom or during sex, then stop douching and get yourself to the doctor. it's not something that will clear up on its own and it's not pleasant for your partner.
FYI to put out there too. A iud can cause a fishy smell. Nothing is necessarily wrong, but its one of the side effects (but usually sososo worth not getting pregnant by a play partner if a condom breaks or anything like that). So if she has a iud and smells suggest rephresh from Walmart. Helps with ph issues and it's a lube too.

But if no iud an smells then it's probably BV which interestingly enough alot of gynos "test" for it by smelling it.
There is also a bacteria that affects women, often caused by multiple partners. It can create an unpleasant odor, but can be controlled so easily. Yogurt can take care of it, also a quick trip to the Dr., a pill prescription for a few days and its gone. A lot of women dont even realize they have the problem, and most guys are too polite to mention it.
Will someone check my pussy, just to make sure?
FYI Men also have smells. seems like when this topic comes up its usually people saying its pussy. but dudes check your balls and cock make sure you dont stink as well. also i know some bigger folks that are cleaner than most skinny peeps so dont make judgments because of size.

This is the Mrs. All I can say is if you know you are going to have company and there is even a chance of play or even if there isnt a chance of play take a damn shower!!!! Cause I will tell anyone that I even taste myself before I will let anyone even go there! Cause I am not one of those people that eats something and says "ew this tastes like shit taste it"!

HAHAHAHA
We spend 4 years in Japan and we got to play with a few sweet Japanese couples. The Japanese shower good before sex. We adopted that custom. Let's hit the hot tub and then shower down before friskiness :)
