Looking to put a lake partay together, start on Friday Night and go to Sunday. But looking for a lake with some seclusion. Want to have it where people can bring their Motor homes, Campers, tents and boats ... and camp close to the shore and have a great time on the boats and beds :-)
Wanted
- Camping on the shore
- Secluded enough that we will not get run off by Rangers/LE
- Within a few hours of SLC
- Big enough to handle 20-30 people
Dates are open, but preferring the 2nd or 3rd week in August
Options:
- Flaming Gorge - Lost Dog Point or other beach - north end of Flaming Gorge, last time i was there, there was no-one around, and you can camp on the shore.
- Yuba Lake - great lake, can we find a beach secluded enough? and will the rangers be flexible?
- I am open to Powell, but hard to get camping on the beach and secution without a houseboat and it is a long haul for a weekend.
- Other Suggestions?
