Hi all, I have 2 questions that I would love to hear answers on.
1) What is the first thing you notice about a new person?
2) What qualities are most important to you when you are making a first impression on a person?

First thing I notice is facial features and expression in eyes, are they relaxed, tense, nervous, upset? A lot can be said in facial expressions. And by looking into a persons eyes I am pretty good at guessing what type of person they are, mellow, a spazz, or whatnot.
Qualities must be honest, sincere,no fake people are tolerated very long. Decent conversationlist is a plus. Imagination rates high. Creativity and kinkyness rate high too.

1. From across the room - presence, how they carry themselves will determine whether I want to go say hi. Confident people that are willing to be in a group setting and contribute more than just sitting and watching.
2. I try to be confident, and show my sense of humor out of the gate. God knows I can't just rely on these looks.

1) That they are new to me.
2) That I make a GOOD first impression, and that I don't make a BAD first impression.
I suspect these aren't the type answers you're looking for - but this is what you asked for.
1) From across the room how are they dressed. Not in a shallow way but we had a couple show up and she was dressed in pajama set at the bar no makeup and shaking. We like say dress to impress.
2) Do they both smile and interact in the conversation, that way we know they are in this together. Not one pushing the other into the LS.

Well we're both pretty shy still so 1 and 2 come down to conversation. if we manage to get one going we're off to a great start! =D
