Swingers Forum - Habit's meet and greet

Previous Post Next Post
After an approximate 3 year hiatuses from the lifestyle due to my wife going through kemo, we had decided to see if she could hold it together for one night and get her back in the groove.
So we go to the meet and greet at
We couldn't agree more!! Glad you had the balls to post it! Most the time the posts are the people that have to say how wonderful everything is! I guess it might be if your in a click. But we are to old to go back to the feelings and actions of high school all over again!!! Bravo
should have worn matching t-shirts... lmao!
Then we would have been part of the click, or more like...... what kinda of car do you drive.....where is your home.....does that match good enough! LOL
Weve noticed the same kinda atmosphere at habits but it is totaly differnt at club 48
We prefer the m&g at club 48 for the same reason. Much more laid back and casual. Easier to actually chat with people other than screaming over the music. Like K&K say in the invites though, people know each other so there is give and take. You have to put yourself out there as much as you expect others to find you.
The bigest problem with habits is that it can not seperate lifestyle from non-lifestyle. And there are other problems. However it is what it is and many are drawn to the club anyway.
S&S, Last nite at Habits was bust, went too and left early. Not many couples showed up and those that did waundered around clueless, us included. I agree with the other comments that Club 48 has a far better atmosphere. Even the music sucked last nite, so dancing also failed to get folks moving. Fraiser, sorry you had a bad experience, try Club 48 when they do it there, normally much better. C&P

I agree with you. Habits is not my favorite either. I think that things go better when you seperate the lifestyle from the vanilla. But I have seen things change from week to week. So writing off a club for one night's failure does not seem wise either.
LOL Habits always sucks on Fridays. Go on Saturdays, much more energy. And who the fuck cares who is in the lifestyle or not. If you think they are hot go pick them up. It works for us.

^^^ This

...Kinda. We love Fridays at Habits. We prefer chill to packed. But where we agree wholeheartedly (and yes I'm referring to nonexistent subtext) is do what works for you. Make your own fun. Go where works for you.
Everyone likes different things. If you didn't have a good time with a certain group or specific location, move on and find something you do like.
I don't understand the attitude that it's anyone else's job to entertain you.

My own opinion. Anyone is welcome to disagree. :)

I guess we are the minority here, we love our Saturday's at Habits. Friday's are boring and not much happening.. We have been told by some that Saturday's are too intense and they prefer lower key places but we are treated very well and have made some great friends. I agree with Invitesome, just have fun, put yourself out there and who cares! hope to meet up with some sexies tonight ;)

There are many of us that do care. I am sure that I do not match your
To All that did, thanks for coming. Yes it did start out slow, i dont know, I am thinking some peoples wanted a chance to be rich and went after Mega Millions lotto tickets unexpedectly and others stayed home to watch the Mega Million Number draw before actually coming in (bummer for us, we didnt have the winning tickets-lol), but as usual, it did pick up about 1030. which is actually normal. but still a slow nite club wide.
remember as the Invite says, you must come willing to move about and be independantly social. the tables are marked MeetnGreet, so it should help find some like minded people. and sure there are clicks everywhere, at meetngreets, the big private venue parties and even house parties. (probably even your every day jobs).. lol.. its reality, people that know each other hang with each other, but far as I can tell, everyone is always willing to say hi and introduce their friends (or as you are refering, "their clicks" lol) to someone new :) . thats why we are all there after all, to meet new people right? the invite also states where exactly to find the hosts so new attendees can locate approach and say hello. we had several new attendees last night who came by to say hi.
Have a great rest of your weekend :)
knk
We went to a m&G @ Habits and it was the same we were not in the right click so we have not gone to no more meet and greats at all.
Well I do believe that their are "clicks', and yes I know the proper spelling, but like I said we are not in school nor do we act that way.
Also for every M/G that we have been to or ran in the past we would intruduce or socialize with everyone as Host or the Hostess, not once did the host or hostess say hello or acknowledge who they were.
When we did leave the couple who tried to land our girlfriend, had the nerve to send her a text saying could stay with them, knowing she is our live in, guess tact is lost when you think you are better then others as well.
Thank you again for listen to me rant, and I will agree that i am not involved with the people at work and the "clicks" they are involved in nor do I want to fuck them either.
Go and sin no more. LOL. You have no fucking clue who or what we do.

In our experience any lifestyle event can be clickish. It's not just Habits and it is probably just people gravitating toward security. We are a tribal species after all. We have been to some where we felt welcome and some we didn't both hosted by the same folks. We try not to judge a group or event or location by one experience. I think Deliciouslywet probably has it right in that if you want power over the lifestyle, go in with a good attitude, swallow your social inhibitions, and jump in. (we aren't good at this but it makes sense)
That being said we aren't big fans of Habits either. We have been several times and, for us, it is too loud to get to know folks. We would enjoy it more if the dj would just turn it down a little bit (we must be old). We also aren't big on wiggle dancing. It's fun for a dance or two but then it feels repetitive. These are personal grips and not the fault of Habits. Jut means it isn't for us.
