Here is how to REMOVE YOURSELF from their listing.
1) Go to spokeo.com
2) Search for your e-mail address
3) Copy the URL of the results of the email search
4) Go back to the home page of spokeo.com
5) On the very bottom of the page, click the link that says PRIVACY
6) Scroll down until you see ENTER URL. Paste the URL in question and enter your e-mail address
7) Click the link they send you in the e-mail address.

The sad thing is that there is a lot of these types of data base. Most of this information is public or sold by some company to these sites. All they do is fit the bits together. Every credit card purchase leaves another bit to be added. The super market, salon, you name it. It all goes into the mix including court and police records. It makes identity theft real easy and should be a breach of privacy. But congress doesn't have sense or the will to make it illegal. It is a multi billion dollar business selling and buying this info.

Why would I want to add my info. to THEIR registry just for them to use WHAT I JUST GAVE THEM???? Most of these sites are there to make money on YOUR INFO.... I won't give them anything that will just be a pain in my ass later...

you can do what mav says with out the membership. which is remove yourself from that site. follow his instructions. you just cant view the information the site claims to have about you, with out having a membership.

well one thing for sure, once you enter your email they will have it for sure and possible spam dump.

They didn't guess much over my info. They had my e-mail drop address linked to my home address. That isn't guessing since I never use the two pieces of information together. How they got it, who knows. As someone else said, you'll never be able to hide completely but you sure can make it harder for them to track you. Hell, just being on this site leaves forensic evidence all over your computer.
