I was just sitting here with a friend and decided to so "who was online" and this friends profile showed "online" so I said "hey your online". Seeing clearly she was not, I wondered and asked when she was on last. About three weeks ago was her reply. I clicked on the profile and it said last visit today. and it's only 4+ hours into it. A far discrepancy from 3 weeks. Anyone else wonder the cause or reason for showing profiles that may be inactive showing as online? Is it just SOP(standard operating procedure) for adult sites so as to look like there are more active members than reality? Thoughts? Admin?
This has long been an issue.... Is it to "fluff" the site?

Have you ever considered that maybe the person is online and they just don't feel like talking? I get chimed all the time and ignore because I'm in a hurry, just checking mail, or am not in a setting where I can chat. Also, sometimes I'll minimize or not log out and the site will be running in the background and your friends are all wondering why you never answered them. Just food for thought..
