I'm very glad this option isn't on profiles. I'm 22 but my maturity isn't and nothing is more irritating then being treated like my age instead of my maturity. Ive also had the opportunity to play with couples who normally I normally wouldn't, if the age range was in place. If couples truly aren't comfortable with playing with younger people (which I do understand not wanting to play with someone your childs age) or older then please add a sentence to your profile. adding an option for age range would in my opinion limit the opportunities of exceptions to the rule. It doesn't seem like this site's features are being updated much lately? Maybe behind the scenes, I don't know. The issue you speak of here is easily resolved with just a sentence in your profile expressing your preference if a specific age range is important to you.

It's funny, you want to specify an age bracket, but then you'll probably meet someone outside that range that has that spark. We haven't done that because you never know who you'll meet if you exclude a large crowd of people... To each their own though, .02 from us...

I suppose an age-range field would be useful if you could search on it. Otherwise, a simple statement in your profile of what you are looking for seems sufficient.

thanks for all the great posts . . . and, a special thanks to all of those who say "age doesn't matter" (good gawd, there IS hope)!!! . . . anywho, it seems very few state their preference in their profile . . . so, we simply thought an age bracket would help the "more experienced" crowd find those that MIGHT be interested . . .
You find all types in the scene... Some like the different brackets, and some are more open. It's just finding the right people for your situation, they're out there though!

Agree, some folks are hung up on age, others are not. Meeting one on one is one thing, but at a group event, the ages may not be as important as chemistry. Age is just a number,

Putting an age range in your profile solves the problem of others looking at you. But the problem is us looking at others. I agree, this would be nice to see on profiles. I've been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to figure out what you could possibly mean by your first sentence.
If you have an age range in your profile, then, in order for someone to know what that age range is, they would obviously have to have already looked at you and your profile.

There is so much more to a person than just their age. Besides, unlike us, most over 40 aren't honest about it on here for fear it won't attract the "right" people. I should hope that you would try to meet someone in person and get to know them before you decide if you are attracted/interested or not. In contradiction to my previous statement, the age thing does matter to me. I don't want to be involved with someone my stepson's age nor my father's age. It's more because I like conversation and I would have nothing in common with either.
