At the risk of getting seriously flamed, I\'ll suggest that this might need to be a real topic of discussion - particularly in the swinging community. I think it has been mentioned here that some people have bumped into relatives at a party. I\'ve been present when it happened to someone else. Traditionally, we would expect the parties to be mortified and hide. But. *MANY* traditional concepts have fallen. Is anybody else old enough to remember times when \"if you caught someone with your wife\", you were expected to be outraged to the level of justifying shooting them both? Is anybody else here old enough to remember times when people were repulsed by the vision of 2 women kissing on the mouth?

We\'re in a setting where we\'re saying that we will have sex relatively casually - at least some of the time. Soooo... if we\'re prepared to \"fuck strangers\" - why should it be totally taboo to have recreational sex - with people who just *happen* to be related?

I think the previous posting which separated \"procreation\" from \"recreational sex\" - is key. Most of the basis of The Lifestyle - is that sex *has* been separated from procreation. And with that separation, many of the taboos could also logically fall since they were put in place truly to deal with the problems of unrestrained *procreation*.

First: Lets distinguish having sex with siblings from from having babies with them. (in my own personal opinion, EWW.)
Second: While it may be true that certain social concepts have changed throughout (recent) history in this the \'pillar of free thinking, progressive societies\', it can also be said that ceratin things have NOT. Regardless of the elthical arguements, whatever they are, or where they take thier origin from, it is GENERALLY accepted by MOST cultures in this modern age that having sex with immediate family members is just sick dude.
We still have major issues with what I would consider to be much less morally ambiguous practices like polyarmory and paligomy, let alone sibling sex. Yes I would much rather have nine wives then to fuck my own sister.
Of course, I am speaking in general terms and have not directed this at anyone in particular.

First of all I\'m not going to be the one running and hiding if I run into someone in my family.. I\'m not a native NCarolinian either... This is one of the Hot beds of swinging right now with some 15 clubs in the state and more opening all the time. As for incest.. that\'s been one of the bible belt\'s most prolific sports. In our local swing club we have Bill and Evie who come regularly. Their daughter Amber and her husband Eric also come pretty often. Evie
When we lived in Florida it was not uncommon for me to run in to my father and his \"date\" in a club from time to time. It was never an issue for us, we just gave each other plenty of space, and reserved intimiate activities for private areas. Most of the other people in that particular club know that we are related, and while they may be surprised that we are there together, they quickly learn that there are boundaries in place.
I have known about my father\'s swinging activities since I was a teenager, but it played no part in my becoming involved in the lifestyle at the tender age of 20. We can discuss most aspects of the lifestyle with each other, which is great, and we often meet the same people in different circles. There are one or two couples on this site that know both of us well.
