Have you ever noticed that the cpls who you seem to be compatible with always have to live hrs and hrs away lol. You have all these cpls that live in your own town or close by yet you are either too old, too young ,too fat, too experienced, not experienced enough, not the right chemistry etc... just wondering are there any of you that ever ask that same question ? We have found friends close by but sure seems like the ones who we seem to attract the most is miles and miles and miles away.
yeh it happends to us all the time. the couples we have got with are almost all the time out of ky. but thats the way it goes.
Some of the most fun cpls we have met have been ones who have come from more than two hrs away the ones in our own town seem to always have a reason they cannot meet lol but thats the way life is :-)
It certainly has been true that our \"wishlist\" of people to get together with if we find that we\'ll be headed their way used to be longer than the list of locals we\'ve actually gotten together with. We\'ve managed to even it out a bit with some of the out-of-towners having come to visit us (kids and all in some cases). Its nice being a vacation destination! ;)

Otherwise, we prefer to stay within an hour\'s drive for playing, going to clubs, etc. and sometimes even that seems like a bit much with the extra sitter time (and cost) it adds on for the round trip.
it seems so, for sure!
I hear ya about the cpls you really wanna play with are always far away....BUT....I(Tisha) commute at least 6hrs a week to play with the one I want most ...and I have experienced some of the most FUN times I have ever had becuz I did commute.....The people in this lifestyle ALL know we have to drive to get what we want most of the time...so they all make it worth my time.....We agree, we wish our FAV cpl was just around the corner....but sometimes it sure is nice knowing their not....LOL Kiss kiss
I wonder if the effect is because \"the really compatible people just aren\'t that common so just aren\'t clustered\" i.e. by the time you find someone who REALLY clicks with you - it is just statistically unlikely that they\'ll be one of the very-few who actually lives right next to you - regardless of where you actually live?

And, yeah, I\'ve noticed it too: not that there aren\'t wonderful people nearby, but I lust for many who just happen to be a 6-hour *plane* ride - not even just a drive.

Soooo I try to enjoy the \"wanting\" - and the idea that maybe someday we\'ll meet at a convention - or something.
Our two cents...for what it\'s worth. Maybe when we connect with couples that live some distance, we are ready to use that time for \"fun\" and not familiarization. In thinking about those experiences, we have been way more open to relaxing and enjoying our distance friends immeadiately. What do the rest of you think on this subject? Good topic. Thanks for making us do some introspective examination.
All most all of the couples we\'ve played with have been at least two hours away. Some times we travel there, some times they come here. And generally its been kids and all too. It seems like when their further away you work harder at trying to set up a meeting than with closer couples.

Also, maybe it has to do with some people feel more at ease meeting some one who doesn\'t live so close. Less chance of running in to them out on the town when your with family or \"regular\" friends.

Just our two cents.

TnV that is a very good thought of course for us its more because we are too old or experienced for the the people close by.

Our best lifestyle friends are actually quite close....about 1/2 hour away.....everyone else we're friends with are at least an hour....or more.....
We agree, everytime we get on here we see awesome pictures and profiles of peoples that are really far away......although we have the capability to travel.... things that make you go "HUUUM".
