What are folks doing to celebrate the the 4th? Since i have the day off i am looking for something fun and would love to hear what other are doing and some suggestions for myself.

I spent the day hiding in my room in bed. Alone. Not feeling good. Now I'm having a family bbq. I marinated chicken boobs, made some salads, and shucked fresh corn. My kids are going to see fireworks with their father who was "kind" enough to invite me to tag along.....still debating.

Blech. Sadly, not enough and he refused to learn/try/experiment new things. Reason #251 he is an EX. However, I did go last night and it was fine. The kids liked it.
