In My childhood home, there was a Newspaper clipping that was kept in a promanant place. Amongst other photos of a Sailor I never knew. The artical was dated for Memorial Day, from sometime in the late 40's. The Photo in the story, was of a very beautiful young woman, in her late 20s holding the hand of a 4 year old little girl ...The two of them were standing alone, looking out over a cematary. The headline read, "The day will mean something to Jean Marie"
That Beautiful Woman in the photo was My Aunt. Her Husband was my Uncle Jack. He was Killed in action by a Japaneese Kamakazi that flew into his Gun mount in Lete Gulf durring WWII .
Please, Tell us your family or friends story, Let us take a moment to Honnor them. Lest we Forget.
