Ok, I've a question that maybe could be answered here. I don't know what's up, but I can't use the search feature for the forums anymore or I'd try to research this question on here. The search feature just throws out an error saying
"The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes"
whatever the hell that means.
Anyway, my husband and I are going down to SLC this weekend, either Friday or Saturday to meet up with 6-8 people depending upon who shows. A mini meet and greet if you will! The folks will likely show up across a 2 hour range of time, not all at once. So I'm thinking a restaurant prolly won't work but I don't know.
I'm just totally unfamiliar with the scene down there and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions? A place with music would be great, but not so freaking loud that it blows your ears out -- we've gotta be able to talk and hear people speak. A place where we could dance would be nice but not at all necessary. Someplace with other diversions, pool-tables, or whatever maybe? A place with liquor would be preferable but only having wine or beer I guess would be OK too.
We've been to Habbits before & I guess we could go there again if no one has any other suggestions.

If you're going to be in the downtown area, I suggest Gracies (especially since it will be nice this weekend - the patio is fantastic).
Poplar is also fun, neighborhood feel

Now I almost have too many -- I'm not always the best at making choices!!! Thus the reason for my having to meet 6-8 people down there in the first place!! LOL--I didn't REALLY just type that did I?
i would also suggest fats grill and bar, on 13th and just off 21st to the south, It has about 6
(not coin operated but real) pool tables upstairs great bar service, they have a down stairs that usually plays live music downstairs also a covered large patio outside should you want to hang out there. I dont spend much time downstairs as im a pool addict but when i walk in it usually sounds alright. parking is thru a side ally between fats and the SHACK, it looks like one and is an alright bar itself as well. Should you want a really nice outsided area the tap room is just a little farther down south on thirteenth , but the inside is crap if im being honest. Those are my suggestions because they are all close so you can hop to whatever your mood brings, Plus i dont hit the bar that often as sierra isnt 21 till july and hasnt been able to go with me. but i have had great times at all of them. so hope your meetings go well and have fun be safe.
