Okay thanks to a friend (You know who you are) some of our photos have been \"photoshopped\".. I guess thats the word.

We want to know if you guys all think its worth making these pictures better in quality with the right contrast levels etc..

So heres the before.. and the after will follow.

Oh yeah.. Thanks (you know who) you did a fantastic job!

and after Photoshop...
After seeing some of the grainy and poor pictures on several websites I have to say that taking time to make the pics look better (lighting, contrast, etc ) is definitely worth it. Especially for us old farts whose eyes aren\'t what they used to be. :-) I know we have had some really good poses that the wife touched up and made easier to see. In this day an age of the computer so many shots that would have been thrown away can now be used.

Nice pictures by the way. :-) Yeah it makes a difference.
Ahhh something close to my heart...

We do a lot of graphic design work and frequently use Photoshop CS2 and its many add ons for clients.

Your friend did you a favor by \"enhancing\" your pic for you, however minimal it seems. If your friend had a much greater grasp of Photoshop and how it works, it would have been apparent in the pic. Your results will be equal to the time you put in learning how to use the software. I can tell you that everywhere you look; books, billboards, magazines, text books...etc. Photoshop had some part in it.

Although we can do some truly fantastic things with the program, we tend to keep it to a minimum. We never alter our overall physical appearance. We continue to receive compliments on our pics, and have even been asked by others to help with their photography from time to time.

Send us the same pic...and I will show you exactly how much better it could have been in the hands of someone who really knows the software well. No offense to your friend is intended, and I hope none was taken.

If your in the over 40 crowd doesn\'t really matter what you do with your photos we have found once you go beyound that dreaded 40 age these sites are almost a waste of time lol. To be serious here enhancing the photos does make sense if the photo is too grainy or too dark a bit of enhanment can\'t hurt.

Norm&Sharon
Well we checked out your profile.. and certainly don\'t think any over 40 comments are needed. You look great.. of course the swrily faces are a little odd *smile* but other than that you look great!!

Yep its settled.. no need to cover up those unsightly zits any more.. just photoshop them out and playing with the contrast helps with the difficult lighting situations.

A few thoughts from our house.

The end result will always depend on the original, so even if you want to play around with the pic with any photo editing/enhancing software, always keep the original safe and save a copy to play around with.

With digital cameras, the abillity to enhance images and such has partially replaced the old 35 mm SLR\'s ability for lenses and filters. Much of that now can be done with the software, but you still have to have a reasonably decent original to work from. A really good example would be what you can do to bring out the colors in a sunset pic.

To try and make it easy, several software programs have a one click fix selection. It is really suprising how much difference there is between the different programs and what the results are. Do some comparisons between the results for various kinds of pics from one program to another. I think you will find that you might want to use one for this kind of shot and another for that kind of shot.

Attachment is what you would see our our bedroom window on a fun night at the cabin.
we like P.S and have a lot of fun with it.. but for photos
its up to you its a catch 22 ,,, lol

Some of the photoshop CS 2 filters are GREAT .....
We believe that Photoshop is a great tool for enhancing and cleaning up photo\'s however we have seen some people that go overboard so much that their pictures don\'t represent the true person.

If you are a person who has some imperfections on your body whether its weight, scars, poc marks, stretch marks or what have you to Photoshop them out and post that picture is not a true representation of yourself.

Now I know it would be ludicrous fro me to thing that people should be honest but hey I wouldn
if you want your cake then eat it
its what you have to offer and what you have to
give in return. geting a 10 and giving a 5 yea right

before & after
this girl my hubby shot but because her old man was a closet
abuser we never new untill she took off her clothes..

kristylynn
We agree thats it important to have decent pictures but found that if you want to be noticed and get replies its the pose and type of pic you use. There were times that we were not getting replies on another site and we changed the main picture to a different sexual type pose. That new picture kept us busy with replies for a long while. We are no longer using those pics as we have changed what we are seeking and had to remove pics that may allow someone to recognise her for other reasons. But, The right picture content is what we found will work. You have to test a few and see what results you get.
Well WOW.. thats amazing.. Were just gonna stick with adjusting the brightness when needed! Some of those PS tricks are incredible and almost scary!
you can take a good photo but the photographer has no control of the models
bad areas,, but P S helps with all those bad places

Wow.. thanks very much ENRLQUE2002 for you offer. Of course it all comes down to taking a good pictures to start with.

If we do take some good ones.. that need the lighting played with we might take you up on the offer.

Thanks

Amanda
Thanks Pad8 for the nice comments yeah wish we didn\'t have to block faces but due to job concerns we block out faces.

We had friends of ours that had some jackass pass on thier screename to thier kids and of course all hell broke loose when thier teenage kids posed the questions why were they on a swing sight in this case , the jackass ended up being a ex husband nice dad huh.

The other reason is sometimes you may share your pics with someone in the lifestyle who are friends now but for whatever reason they decide to not be friends anymore than you go around wondering who is going to see your unblocked face on a swing site for those reasons we choose to block faces we don\'t care how well a site protects the pics if someone wants to steal them they will find a way.
Pads..Your photos are fine as they are we think.
I dabble a little in Photoshop and use CS2 but usually only for photos I am going to display.
I have Canon Digital Rebel, but only use a pocket digital for pics I might display on these sites.
Some of the pics on here are pretty amazing I must say,but if we meet a couple we want to play with them and not discuss the virtues of photoshop..LOL
Sorry Pad8 I mis-spelled your user name.
Amanda and Peter...

Composition, lighting, and creative cropping usually make the difference when taking good pics.

It is important though that you preserve the authenticity of your subjects, or yourselves in your case. So like it has already been suggested, dont go over board. If you are interested, there are some rally great teaching materials out there for amateur photogs. Before I started doing professional work book slike these were my bibles.
