We have never been to one, but have heard many good things about them and we would like to try one. Problem is....dont know where they are or who is inviting who...
never been to a house party. Heck never been invited to one. so I guess I dont have anything to really say about them. Other then "Where are my invites"
The few house parties I've been to have been really great! Its a nice way to mix and mingle with alot of people you've been secretly drooling over profile picts of. 
I wouldn't say they are "out of style" but then again, the parties we've attended were really well planned, and executed.

Absolutely not out of style! At least not with us. In fact, they are really our first choice to meet new people. I would say there are probably way more house parties going on than a lot of folks know.
WE have hosted a few, and attended a few more..made a freind or two at all of them.
They are a little harder to find out about, because many of them are sort of advertised "word of mouth" or by special invite, rather than announced publicly, although some have been that, too. We try to make a habit of checking the party listing here fairly regular, for those that might interest us.
A good way to find out about them is to attend the meet and greets..get to know as many people as you can causally. You're sure to get invited to one..and then another..etc...

We can't wait till we're settled here and get to start going to some parties again...I would imagine there's some pretty hot parties here in Vegas 
I have been to two. Both were great.
We go to them and host them. We LOVE house parties. As stated above, good way to put a face to the pics you've been staring at. A lot of people give them a stigma that you walk through the door and its just an orgy happening, but every party we have done or gone to has been very social and some sex thrown in. If you haven't been to one, highly recommend them. If nothing else you should/will meet some awesome people.
We LOVE house parties. Totally agree with TIFND, house parties are the best way to meet new people. We enjoy going to clubs and the larger, site hosted parties, but we have found that there is no better way to meet and connect with people than to attend house parties.
On another note, we're always looking for a house party so those of you who throw them we'd love an invite!

House partys, out of style? Not hardley! We actualy Prefer them! And the folks weve met thru the house party venu have been "top Shelf" Its nice to know, when encountering someone new, that they know someone that you know...in a round about way.. wink~ and while we dont particularly concern ourselves with whos been "vetted or not" with the hosts or guests, were more confident that pretenders & trouble makers would have had a harder time breaching a house party kind of firewall. at least in our world~
Not only the firewall TWOARIES2, but you are also able to have a conversation rather than try and yell over the music blasting. Drinks aren't $10 each at house parties either!

Good point! And..at least at the parties we host..we have tried very hard to make everyone that does come, feel comfortable AND welcome, with no pressure to indulge in anything they aren't comfortable with. A much more conducive atmosphere to make friends, than a hectic club setting.
We started this whole experience going to house parties...but we don't get invited to them any more We have been to some kick ass ones and ones that were honestly a little bit creepy but hey that's the nature of the houseparty never know what you will get until you go woohoo!

Well, if anyone is taking notes on who would like to attend these House parties... Jamze and Jami should be on that list :P On the same token, we are *Hoping* to be able to host a few of our own eventually, just have to wait for the kid to be old enough to take off for a weekend or so lol That could make for a REALLY interesting conversation in the morning when she comes home earlier than planned....
House Parties are the only way to go.

We managed to get invited to a house party and I can say that it was the most fun that we have had since they invented the light bulb. Great fun and we were able to meet some of the greatest people and we had the chance to really let our hair down (and maybe my wife's dress). Love it and hope to get to more!!!

you know u need to be having another party coming up i need to skinny dip somewhere dammit lol
We would love to host a house party but are unable to because of where we live and still have kids at home. Once Kids are gone we love to start by hosting a small get together house party
How about hotel parties?! those are the best...minimal cleaning afterwards and u keep ur privacy...Lets throw a hotel party.............
