Pick up the book "survivor" or any palahniuk for that matter, and read into the satire that is placed on the "normal" views of society and you will understand. Palahniuk has an amazing ability to take a tidbit of life and bring out what is raw in human nature.... One of his books will make you feel like you need to get up and shower after you put it down, dirty in an amazingly refreshing mind twistingly dirty kind of way... Come to think of it, I'll bet a lot of people from this website would quite enjoy it.
