Fun-lovin.. that is a very nice looking pie. But where is the sauce and garlic chunks and meat?
Best Pie like meal I ever had was at the old Chicago chain in Dallas.. The deep dish pies were like 2" thick lasagna and cholesterol city! I was a younger pig and still could only eat one or two squares.
The best Pie I ever had was in Santa Fe many years ago. IT was a weekday on the ski slope and my first experience with 18" of Sierra cement. I swear there were only 5 of us on the slope that day and I kept doing aerobic runs on the same cycle as this one big dude. I was dead thirsty after a couple hours of spring skiing in the knee deep muck so I headed to this mid mountain shack that looked more like a ski patrol/beaver trapper log cabin barely sticking out of the snow. It was so dark in there and my new ski buddy was on the couch and so I sat down and melted into the deep low couch and knew it was going to be hard to get up. It was only us and the bartender and my new buddy seemed to know the tender really well as we didn't have to pay. I gulped a few waters and had a beer and my new ski buddy said lets go! So for the rest of the day we did one or two runs and then hit that comfy couch in our own private bar. He found out my wife was in town at a class and told me he owned a pizza store in Santa Fe and Farmington and skied almost every day. He said to come in on so he could meet the wife. Now dont expect this to turn into a sexy story unless you enjoy the most wonderful pie in the World. For the time it had rather strange ingredients. I remember sun dried Toms, garlic chunks, artichoke heart chunks, and feta cheese chunks. The best part was my new buddy pulled a chair up to our table and came over to tell epic ski stories of the day and helped us drink two bottles of wine on the house. Since then I have been on a quest to find that pie again but the best I can find has been our homemade. And lately we go to Harmon's and for 2$ each they will lightly bake you crust or two to take home and create you own best pie. Enjoy

@Maybemore, Mr.s Fun_luvn is a vegetarian, and the Mr. doesn't really mind not eating meat very often or at all. As for the sauce, we like to use just olive oil; we find it helps to not overload the flavors, so you really do taste the cheese and tomatoes and artichoke hearts...
Tonys is our favorite pizza in the area where we live, butt the absolute best pizza I (da guy) ever ate is Massey's in Columbus, OH.
would move heaven and earth for pizza now...with extra butter garlic sauce......~drool~
there seem to be some good places that we have missed! gonna have to give a few of them a shot. We like the Pie but the grease there will kill you! that place has to be owned by a heart surgeon lol
Jasohs on 25th in OGDEN has a wide variety of wood fired pizzas... FROM an artichoke chicken with alfredo sauce and tarragon....A hawaiin with pineapple, macadamia nuts, teriyaki sauce and ham...to spicy shrimp ones and veggie pizzas...yum
Stashu's in Moline Illinois. The calzones are to die for.
gotta be settebello or zucca

Oh, that reminds me....is Rita's in Clearfield still in business? I loved their pizza. I used to get it weekly when I was first married to the STBX. I loved the different heat levels of sauce you could get. Circle Inn uses the same sauce don't they? Oh for the record, Circle Inn does hold a special place in my heart. It was where me and Dave had our first date a little over 3 yrs ago. Sadly we didn't try the pizza, and sadly he never was able to teach me how to play pool. LOL
Best pizza place is in CHICAGO!! That's right i said it! Maybemor, you said a chicago chain in dallas, which one?
By far the best pure deep dish is Connie's in Chicago.
The best stuff pizza is Giardano's.
And there is a place here with what they call pizza pot pie! it is call chicago pizza and oven grinders...oh man is it delicious!!!

Sally's and Pepi's in New Haven CT are among the tops in the country but there ia a small place in Derby CT that is without question the best pizza you will ever have.. Those of us in the area will put it up against any place else in the country and they will win every time hands down... The name of the place is Roselands on Hawthorn ave in Derby CT. If you are even in town it is worth the trip. People will drive up to 2 hours to get there. Forget about it on a fri or sat night though.. It will take close to 2 hours just for take out..
Sweet Home Chicago is one of our favorites. There's one in Draper, or the District. The one in the District serves more than pizza.....
The Post in Morgan makes an amazing pizza!!! Nothing like good pizza and beer

Ligori's in south ogden is the bomb!!!!
John's Pizza in NYC, hands down the best. But for local, the closest to John's is NYPD Pizza. Most authentic NY pizza we've found!
What? No Pizza Hut or Papa Murphy's???

Sorry.....yuk!
Hey, Papa Johns is in the running.....I could lick an old leather shoe dipped in their garlic butter sauce. That stuff is addicting. YUMMY
We agree with Lucious_74, Este Pizzeria is awesome
There are too many great Chicago pizza joints to list but Home Run Inn is a good start.
I will have to disagree with some of the Este Pizza remarks, I have had better frozen pizzas than their so-called pizza.
A good pizza has a flaky crust that has flavor, the cheese is rich, the sauce tastes fresh and has spices, it just has layers of delicious pleasures to enjoy. Most Utah pizzas that I have tried are boring and bad.
And what is with the Pie Pizzaria and all that juice on the bottom? That is just wrong.

The Factory Pizzeria in Logan. Every couple of months we drive an hour each way just to have it. Totally worth the trip.
The Pie or the Post.
Our favorite is one we make ourselves. We use a whole wheat crust and spray olive oil. Take thinly sliced prime rib pieces, mushrooms, and onions cooked in a marinade of soy sauce, olive oil, and garlic. Top with green and / or red peppers, tomato, and feta cheese.
