I don't have the connections or resources to put on an event so I want to start by thanking those who do host the meet and greets. That being said, may I make a request for more events that are not centered around getting drunk and wiggling to music? There is nothing wrong with drinking and wiggling but that seems to be the base for almost all events. I hear that there is a camping event that is supposed to be the best swing event all year, every year and another post suggested a motorcycle ride. Can we get more like this? Other suggestions might be rollerskating, ice skating, shooting, naked skydiving, pool party, hot tub event (there is a hot tub rental place on State that has multiple tubs for rent in the same building), Jam session (although I don't know how this would work with a big group), rock climbing. These are just things that I'd be into off the top of my head. I'm open to other ideas too, just something that doesn't end in the standard fall back.
How about a 4X4 event in Moab during the week of Easter Jeep Safari... we will be there with both jeeps... and it would be fun to get a bunch more together and go do some trail... Maybe some pic ops for those wanting some good nude pic in the wilds....

Yes, the camping thing was awesome... It just needs to be closer to, or more central to, Salt Lake City... We had a blast met some amazing people, absolutly no presure... but with out cell service for us, We had to leave early because we could not call our kid sitter... Maybe we need to rent an empty wharehouse and have a glow in the dark, white hot, black light party... keep smilling you all rock !!!

These all seem like great ideas. I would love it if an experienced planner took the lead on one of these ideas but if we don't see anything in the next month or so maybe we will try to host one. We've hosted some great vanilla parties before and they went off great but they always cost money once they get to a certain size plus gear and insurance issues but maybe we can pull this if no one else will.

You are all awesome. For the popular movie idea how about instead of a drive in we just get a big room and a projection tv? I can get a hold of speakers and a screen so all we would need is a video projector. How difficult could that be? Seems like it would appeal to a large audience too. May I suggest a popular mainstream movie with a plot, maybe a sexual plot. In my experience as great as porn is it seems better as a background than a focus. While people are still getting to know each other it might not hold interest long enough to draw a crowd.
As for the Diamond fork hot pots, I heard they are now private property and you actually do risk a ticket now. Is this true?

It may take me a bit of time to get it together (slow time of year for money at my job) but I think I may go ahead and try the movie thing. The talk about the motorcycle ride is still prudent....I have still have the list from all who wrote us..or mentioned interest on the thread. Yuo will ALL get an invite to it! Will probably get a note out in late March-April asking for route ideas ,etc..with the ride being in early June..just guessing. Weather will decide...it may get nice, and we all get cabin fever sooner!

Why rent we could do it at our house for a weekend... hot tub out back... swing in the basement... big screen tv in the bedroom.... and plenty of floor space for the main activity...

We have looked at renting large houses in PC and other outlying areas. They run around $1,500 for a weekend in the off season for a typical 10,000 ft house. We have looked at houses that sit on some land so there can be some outside activities included as well.
The thought of a naked weekend appeals to us. We often run to California to Sea mountain Inn and love the place because clothes are not allowed. It's nice to feel uninhibited as to nudity and sexual activity. We sit there and look over at any time during the 3 days or so were there and someone is having some form of sex. but then after it moves on to relaxing and enjoying the time there. Totally different form a typical party of getting drunk, having an hour long or so after party then heading home.
Deb & Lang have rented a large house for the Eyes Wide Shut Party this sSaturday, We will report on how the house rental thing goes. We now fantazyers were attempting to purchase a house for parties on an ongoing basis, but for some reason it was discontinued. Im sure they would have some suggestions as well.
If we picked a house out far enough where we could land our plane on a road, we could take folks up for mile high fun. that would be cheap, and a new experience for some folks.
We loved the Naked Bowling in Morgan, too bad they haven't had one of those in a couple of years.
Remember Burning Man is this summer, It would be fun to have our own little city at the event. Of course its $300 each now. let us know if others are attending.Or more importantly if anyone is willing to let us share your camper. We want to fly down.
Last thought already. Yesterday, Mrs Simple had to have some Comp Card photos taken for her modeling. We rented a studio, Photographer, and Hair & Makeup artist. These guys were fantastic. We were there for 6 hours. They are willing to set a saturday aside for professional photos suitable for profile and or gifts. The makeup artist is world famous and wow... The shoot was wild, we did fashion shots for 5 hours then, the they did some very sexy shots for the last hour for our personal use. That is easy, can do it now, and the studio in on state street in SLC.
Enough already. Count us in for helping in the planning. Lets just look at the other party planners and try not to conflict with their events, or plan far enough ahead that they can work around our event...

Oh we loved the bowling parties...unfortunately something happened with one of the couples involved in the planning and things went bad with the owner of the bowling alley...we have wished many times we could do it again...was one hell of a time!!!! And we didn't mind the 1 mile drive either lol
