Has any one ever really walked around in their sleep?

I could see how it is done, or my wife could tell you more about me.

I do talk in my sleep. I don't just talk in my sleep. Turns out I catch my self doing this all the time. I will turn and hug her. I will caress her. You might think this is just a way to get what I want, it's not. I will even go down on her. Of course I will eventually wake up. She even likes it more, yeah we get into it afterward. There are more things that I have done can't remember them all. Yeah I have done some things she hasn't liked. I back handed her once. That was not good, thought I was some where else. There are no out side factors, no drinking or drugs. It's just like I'm dreaming but not a wake. I almost like it, it makes it that much better. Ok I lied I don't just almost like it I love it.

I just want to know if any one else has done stuff like this? What have they done?
Hi there! It sounds like to me that you have a rem behavior disorder! You should have a sleep study performed and make sure they use a rem behavior montage! You could end up hurting your bed partner at some point!Im in the sleep field and have seen this in the past .
I have heard that it is more common in cases of Post Traumatic Syndrome and men returning from their tour of duty. It can be very dangerous and should be checked if you have the money to do so.
Except for the accidental back-hand that post was HOT!
Did this start suddenly or have you been sleepwalking a long time?
Not all cases are sinister but if you start using violent behavior definitely seek help.
I've been a sleepwalker since I was about 2 yo. Nothing traumatic started this (unless learning to walk was traumatic) and nothing sexual like what you do has ever happened, but my parents & significant others have decades of stories about finding me sitting up in bed or in the living room 'reading'.
I also sleep with my eyes open a lot and have walked into more than a few parties my parents used to throw & start socialising with their guests and no one ever realised I was asleep (mom'd usually clue in the next morning when she'd ask me if I enjoyed the party (huh?) and a couple of times my mom found me walking down the street 'heading to my friend's house' (that was in the 70's when, if a neighbor saw a kid doing that they'd walk the kid home & hand them back to their parents Without calling social services)
So lock your doors, enjoy your harmless late nite sessions and, as long as nothing harmful happens I'd say don't worry about it.

I sleep talk all the time. Most my siblings do it too. I've gone through 'bouts of sleepwalking, but its not a regular occurrence. The most common thing I do actually, is match my breathing to whatever is going on in my dream. I've never heard Mark do it, but I do it 3-5 times a week and it freaks Mark out every time. (And no, it's not sleep apnea.)
I as well (Wolf) did it quite a bit when I was young. It went as far as asking my dad to watch me closely in Hawaii because I was afraid I would dream of crawling through a window, but we were 20 stories up! luckily I did outgrow it, but still had sleep studies done, it is amazing what these studies reveal about your sleep patterns, o2 levels, heart rates, BP etc. Some oxygen at night makes a world of difference!

I do very similar things all the time. I have never sleep(slept?) walked or accidentally backhanded the Mrs., but on a regular basis i will make sexual advances on her in the middle of the night while i'm sleeping. Sometimes she will give in because i'm so persistent (YAY!!!) and then i'll wake up as things get hot and heavy and we end up having a very good time. Otherwise, she just shrugs my aside knowing i'm just doing it in my sleep lol.

She has also told stories of when she was pregnant and would wake up in the middle of the night with bad leg cramps, i would take over and massage her until they went away (i still have no recollection of this at all).

All in all, i really enjoy those nights and she isn't complaining either so i would say as long as the violence and danger to you or others is at a minimum, i wouldn't worry about it too much.

Good to hear I'm not the only one. It doesn't take much to wake me. The time I back handed her I thought I was playing basket ball. I was getting a little ruffed up and thought I would give a little back so I could take the shot. Well the next thing I heard was my wife, she yelped. Most cases it is not that I'm dreaming. Most the time I will answer questions and do things with out being aware of what is going on. I do remember them later. I will also say the weirdest things. I think she likes it I can't lie when Im not aware of what I'm doing. Better then any serum or polygraph test. Not that I would have too, we are open I can ask or say anything to her. Most the time is like finding out what you are getting for christmas. If I felt that I would ever really harm or be harmful to my self I would get help. This is not the case it is more funny and sexy. Just thought I would share my thoughts and would like to hear what others have done. I love that I can share my passion that I have for her even in my sleep. How many people can do that. No one could love more then we do, and I'll take a bet of any one else that thinks they can. Ok I got off on a tangent.
I (Mr.) have done many of the same things. As a teenager, and in my early college years, I would get up walk upstairs, sit down and have conversations with people. Then say something like "OK, I have to get ready for (work, school, whatever) go down stairs, and be back in 5 min having no idea that I had just left. I never really believed people when they told me that I did these things, until one night I walked into the wall, startling me awake, and giving me a huge goose egg on my head. When we were first married, I would initiate sex with the Mrs. all the time in my sleep. A few years back I was having a dream about being beaten by several guys. I was screaming and cussing and thrashing about, this woke the Mrs., who tried to wake me. I punched her in the jaw, a few moments later I woke up and felt absolutely terrible. Since then I have not been able to sleep well, for fear of doing it again. Knowing that I can do such things makes it hard to relax enough to really get some sleep. Although the sleep sex thing was kind of kinky, it wasn't that great because I didn't remember any of it and that is kind of the point of having sex with my wife, to share such experiences. So for me, although a bit amusing, over all it has been a very bad thing.

Mr T, I don't normally suggest therapy but in your case, since it's starting to affect your sleep I'd find someone you can talk it thru with, not necessarily a paid therapist just yet and not your wife since she's too close to the issue but a trusted, informal friend who can work you thru it. Sometimes talking a problem thru can help ease your mind. If that doesn't help then definitely find a sleep therapist.
Good luck and let us know how you fare!
