Interesting article , twisted, but interesting. Most people writing these types of books and articles are very liberal and certainly not mainstream, thank God!
Our take on it may not be yours or mainstream either but, here goes:
Cheating, lying, disrespect and dishonesty are all characteristics of cheating in your marriage. None of the characteristics we look for in our friends, how about you. Yes there are reasons, too many to mention...our take on it...disolve the relationship and then move on otherwise how can you ever be trusted, you have done it once, why not again?
Is Swinging cheating? How can it be if you both agree to participate, share the journey, communicate and keep in touch with each other...all as long as it is an enhancement to your relationship. So we feel no Swinging is not cheating, you honor, respect and are truthful, if you are doing it right.
Swinging "married singles" without the others permission are NOT what we look for, Loving caring and respectful, committed couples are what we DO look for.

We agree that "swinging" is not cheating, so long as both in the couple are participating willingly and happily. We have found that we have developed a strong bond as a result of our sexual exploration and recreation with others. Our faith, communication and trust in each other has grown as a result of our choice to allow others into our sexual life.
One of the overriding facts about swinging together is that one's partner is less likely to stray in search of forbidden fruit if the fruit is already allowed and plentiful within the bounds of your loving relationship with your partner. Fruit that you both enjoy together as a couple.

Hi all.
Since we started swinging our sexlive became more intensiv. There will always be a discussion about the pro and contras of our lifestyle, but we never regret it. Other couples don't know what they miss!

I agree that swinging isn't cheating because like it was mentioned it's both parties. Also the divorce rate in a lifestyle relationship is lower than the nation average,yes it does happen but there are other mitagating reasons I am sure. If there is open sharing why go out and cheat thats like living in a house full of men/women and going to look for more because you are bored yet you can have anyone there,makes no sense. My hubby travels with his job from time to time and unlike his workmates wives I don't worry about him cheating why because he knows when he gets home he has me and whatever else he desires. I guess what I am saying is "if you feed a dog good at home he don't hunt for food" LOL a old southern saying I never understood until I was grown. As for dealing with cheater we have no time for them,we will not be willing partcipants in someone getting hurt,and thats experiance speaking as Jimmy and I were both married before and cheated upon.

In our personal experience, swinging has really opened our lines of communication. Our relationship is better than it has ever been, not that it has ever been bad. It is just that our experiences together have taught us to trust each other and to communicate openly an honestly. We are happy to say that our "alternative relationship" has outlasted most of the conventional monogamas relationships of our straight friends.
OK, I went back as far as I could and found some very interesting conversation. This was when conversation was at a prime.

I think the number one reason that a marriage goes off track is the lack of communication. It could show up in fights over money, one or the other cheating because their needs are not taken care of in the marriage, or just about any of the rocks that so many couples run into along the path of married life. One reason I think that swingers tend to be happier and more secure is because without good, open communication swinging can be a minefield. Most that stay in the lifestyle for any amount of time learn to communicate better with each other than many others that do not have the experience of sharing. This summer we'll have been married 35 years so I guess it works :-)
