I agree with you. We stopped going to parties because of the same reason. Plus the other reason we stopped going was 90 percent of the people there ads say there D&D free but 90 percent are all out side smoking dope. It's still a drug and that means you lied on you ads so what else have they lied about. They say it relaxes me be it pot or booz. If they need to get stoned or drunk to be in the life style they there in the wrong place.
I think everyone goes through this. Having someone for a friend and jumping into the sack are very different things so we often rate people on what our current interest is. Being single and looking for an LTR with the right woman really affects my choices in singles and couples. But for the moment, let

OK you opened this can so here goes!!! I realize that there is a lot to be said for chemesty and everyone needs to feel an attracttion of some kind in order to do any thing with some one. BUT since I fall into this catagory I think it needs to be said. I dont understand how people can just look accross a room and say that there is no one there for them because of the way people look. I have found a lot of good people at parties and then there are the bad ones as well. I know for a fact that there is 2 couples that would have had nothing to do with me and my wife had it not been for others that we know telling them not to judge a book by it cover. We are not the ken and barbie type and never will be, in fact I am the old biker type to look at, but some have found out that for them it was a mistake to judge by looks. My suggestion is instead of looking around walk around and talk to them, just because you talk to some one does not mean you want to jump their bones, and you may find that looks can be decieving and some very good playmates have been overlooked because instead of getting to know the people, you went on looks alone. We have made some friends at parties that we will never play with and they know that, and we have found friends at parties that we really enjoy playing with. If we had never put forth the effort to get to know them, we would still be just sitting there at the parties looking around complaining that there is no one there for us.
Let's ALL be realistic, when it comes to meeting people the first thing you need is a Physical attraction, age is a big a factor, then the way the person is dressed acts and speaks.
These are things you can see before ever actully meeting someone.
What I'm saying is be honest with yourself and just seek out those who meet your criteria, are there exceptions,YES but that will take up more time then what it's worth.

It's not just looks we notice its mannerisms and the conversation that ensues. Looks are not paramount however we still need an attraction. You can be drop dead gorgeous and we may not be interested if you can't converse with us. If you can't laugh with someone why would you sleep with them? We just aren't into lovers without substance. I realise sex is the goal for most its just what are you willing to accept to get there.

Any party you guys set up has to be a good time K. I am just stirring the proverbial pot it's entertainment.
Absolutely agree with what ABC said above! We are fairly new and don't know a great many people. But we do enjoy meeting them! Tif is very outgoing...And I'm learning..LOL. The ones that are responsive to that...we usually have a nice time meeting....if not...well..we just assime they are not too interested in us....and we move on. We know we have missed getting to know some very nice people...but you hate to risk the chance odf being the couple that is consistantly just annoying folks who would rather you left them alone. Guess it's a balance..but that's the way we do it.
BTW..sure..let's be realistic..there does have to be some intial attraction...but have to say..we now have wonderful friends of all ages..and body types..because they are just plain fun to be with! You just have to be willing not prejudge folks on that...and be willing to take that chance!

And you never know what friend a friend is going to introduce you too...we talk with everyone who will give us a chance...even if we aren't sexually attracted to them we enjoy meeting new people and making new friends...and friends can come with benefits...other friends that is...we have meet some great people through other people also...so it never hurts to mix it up and be friends with ones you didn't think you would be...kisses...Naugh-Ty

Ditto!! Funny thing as well.. You may even meet someone that you are not sexually attracted to at one party, but then a few parties later you think oh wow..
