Whether u believe in God/Universal Power/Evolution/Or Nothing, the Facts are:
The SUN (which controls our climate) is 93million miles away,
2) The MOON (which controls our Sea tides) is 240 thousand miles away,
3) The Tilt of the Earth controls our different season's.
4) Our Atmosphere is a mix of 78/21/1% of Gases.
So even a 1% change and we couldn't exist. Think about it...
SO WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE??? AN EARLY MERRY XMAS TO ALL MY FRIENDS!.

With that small shift, life would simply be different. Science has found many strange creatures in hostile environments and we now know that there are bacteria that that can metabolize arsenic. It does not matter how life came about. Only that it is.

There is a child duck taped in someone's trunk. The driver plans to rape and then murder the child in the most painful way possible. They are heading for the woods but they pull over to get gas. The child is beating on the inside of the trunk and crying loudly. Four different people in four different scenarios hear this.
One person hears the child and tells the driver of the abuse-mobile that someone is screaming in his trunk. The observer tells the driver that the kid in the trunk better shut up if he want to make it to the woods to molest and then kill her.
In this scenario the driver rapes and kills the victim after thanking the gentleman at the gas station for the warning.
(This is evil through direct action.)
A second person hears the child and assumes there is something wrong but goes inside because it's none of his business. He buys Skittles, pays for his gas and drives off.
In this scenario, the child is raped and killed even though just telling the gas station attendant would have saved her life.
(This is evil through inaction.)
The third person hears the child screaming, knows she will probably be molested and then killed but he does nothing. He decides that by doing nothing, he is teaching the family of the child and society about the ills of raping and murdering. He thinks there's a lesson to be learned with the molestation and murder of the small child.
In this scenario, the observer reads about the rape killing in the paper later and relishes how much humanity has learned throughout this ordeal.
(This is by far the most evil person. He knows what's best for the child but decides to sacrifice the child to teach humanity a lesson.)
The fourth person hears the child screaming, notifies the gas attendant, writes down the license plate number, calls the cops, and distracts the murdering pedophile until they arrive.
In this scenario, the observer does the 'good' thing. He saves the child's life.
(This is good through direct action.)
Which one of these types of people are you?
Which one of these people is your God most like?
Are you more 'good' then your God?
Does he like to teach lessons with murders? That doesn't exactly fit my definition of 'good'.
I am a good atheist entity. I would stop the pedophile. What would god do? Would he stop the pedophile? No, he wouldn't. At best he's evil through his inaction and at worst he sacrifices the child to teach humanity a lesson.
This isn't the type of God I want to worship. It's terrifying to think of what God could stop but doesn't. If your life was truly in God's hands then he could decide to save you from molestation, rape, or murder... but he does not. Why?

I believe in being morally and ethically responsible. And science and reason.
I do not believe in magical sky beings who whimsically allow children to be raped and tortured to teach people lessons. Nor do I believe in invisible pink unicorns.

I'm partial to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!
FSM rocks, and at least makes sense with regards to pirates and global warming.

This just in.
It was a misprint.
It's NOT virgins - it's VIRGINIANS.
I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core (and hardcore) pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve, and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.
I believe in disbelief, though not in believing.

I believe in doing good, by that I mean easing suffering and promoting joy. I believe there are evil things that we can do one to another, one to many others, many others to one, and many others to many others. Evil is promoting suffering and killing joy. I believe that most things are not inherently evil nor good, they just are.
You made a very good point about "experienced" women - and I totally agree with you 100%.
But I do suspect your using "screw" and "virgins" in the opening sentence was more than just a Fruedian slip. lol

Good call Wildonez, I too believe in doing good and promoting goodwill toward those that deserve it. I also believe in the situation of the pedophile and the child there is another option. Take the pedophile and put him in your trunk. Let the child go free. Drive out into the desert and dig a hole. Fill the hole up with the pedophile down at the bottom. This is good through action, but also teaches a lesson to humanity AND evil.
What can I say, I'm a multitasker.
